  1. Like Dr4Film, my 2007 Cayman overflow tube is in the passenger side wheel well in front of the tires. Gerry 07 Cayman
  2. Ron - Agree with your comments. We are taking grandkids to Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde and Moab this summer. The usual place we stay in Moab said they are booked all summer which is unusual for them. Reservations at Grand Canyon (actually Williams) was problematic too. Fortunately we made them several months ago. People aren't flying to Europe this year for vacation - they're going camping. Good luck everyone. Gerry 07 Cayman
  3. I installed the REK in August 2011. It made a big difference in the ride. Did this right after I replaced the trailing arms. I don't remember the cost but it wasn't particularly cheap. Gerry 07 Cayman
  4. Your assumption is correct. You are parked in the desert without any services other than what you bring yourself. There is no charge to park in the desert but you will have the usual costs of food, fuel, water refill and using a dump station. There are a couple of areas near town called Long Term Visitor Areas (LTVA). There is a charge (IIRC it is about $40 for two weeks). They usually have water to refill your water tank, a dump station and restrooms. But you are dry camping there too. Google the LTVA's at Quartzsite for more details as they may be affected by the Covid thing. The desert has a beauty all its own and we love it. Cheers. Gerry 07 Cayman
  5. We too are going to Quartzsite. We stay with the Escapees Boomers also off Plomosa Road. All are welcome - join us if you like. When this subject first came up it started a flame war about whether this was a good idea. The way I look at it is I can quarantine and socially distance just as easily, if not better, in my motorhome in Quartzsite rather than at home. But I am wary about the big tent. They announced it will be open but with "one way" aisles. May not do the tent but will definitely be at Q in January. Gerry 07 Cayman
  6. I recently upgraded to a residential refrigerator. In January of this year at Quartzsite I had an ARP Fridge Defend system installed on the Norcold 1210 refrigerator which was in my motorhome at the time. Worked ok, I guess, I had no fires. Because of the residential upgrade that system is now sitting in a box in my garage. It consists of an electronic control unit, a fan, and some wires with connectors. See https://www.arprv.com/products.php for details. I have a version 4. In the hope this will be of benefit to some fellow Norcold owner, I will give it away (free) to the first person who contacts me. The only thing I ask is that you reimburse me for the postage via Paypal prior to shipment (the USPS has a flat rate box for about $10). Shipment only with in the U.S.A. Gerry 07 Cayman
  7. These may be available from Shower Enclosures America (SEA). http://www.seamerica.com/ 501 Kettering Dr. Ontario CA. 91761 PHONE - 800.536.732 You will probably have to call them. I had to replace my shower door a number of years ago and they were very helpful. Gerry B 07 Cayman
  8. I'm going to upgrade my Norcold to a Samsung residential refrig. For those of you who have residential refrigerators, how many amp hours do you have in the battery bank and do you find it adequate to run the frig? We do a lot of dry camping - obviously if we are plugged in this isn't an issue. Is 400 Ah sufficient? Thanks. Gerry 07 Monaco
  9. Neil - The ones in my motorhome are 12 inches. However if you go to this URL https://www.seatbeltplanet.com/c-1389309-accessories-sleeves-plastics.html the very first item is a 6" anchor sleeve. Is that what you need? Gerry 07 Cayman
  10. I had to replace the platic holders that hold the seatbelt buckle up on the side of the seats. Went to https://www.seatbeltplanet.com/ They may have what you are looking for. Gerry 07 Cayman
