  1. Try calling RV Decor in Yuma, Arizona. They were playing with the idea of offering those wheel covers once again. I know Mujeeb, the owner, found some of this track for the tire covers he was attempting to produce. He may still have some or maybe he can lead you in the right direction. His telephone number is: 928-550-7010. JimG Formally a 2006 Camelot Owner Previously worked for RV Decor several years ago
  2. We got our dash cover from https://www.activervupholstery.com/. Pricing is fair, quality good and the owner is willing to do whatever he can to make it work for you. I have known him for many years! JimG Past Owner of a 2006 Camelot PAQ
  3. Russell, We bought an Equator 6 months ago for our coach replacing the Splendide. Works great and seems to be a more modern design electronically. The only issue we had was a little water sometimes comes out of the detergent tray when it is calling for soap. We adjusted the tilt of the unit back some to help the issue. JimG 2006 Camelot
  4. Thanks Tom, Re-posted my last comments to the original thread. Guess I thought this was the original... Yes, we are not having much luck so far with this issue. We are fortunate we were negotiating with someone here in the park to buy their 2018 Forest River Cedar Creek Cottage (owner passed away over a year ago) and we did end up buying that unit and it is on our lot now so we have a place to live. I guess the Camelot was not happy with that scenario!!! I will let everyone know what happens going forward after Coach Crafter's takes a look at it... JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  5. Thanks for all the advice. Got a call from the insurance adjuster today and they contacted an RV Service center in Tavares, Florida I gave them. They are Coach Crafters, and they said they would look at the coach. They do some CAN Buss issues. It will be towed there tomorrow (although it can be driven but we are not sure how safe it would be). They are going to attempt to give the insurance company an estimate. Not sure what is going to happen, but, if they can not fix it, I have good advice from all you folks that answered me and I will attempt to correct it myself. I will let you all know what happens... Thanks Again, JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ

  7. Brett and Ivan...Thank you for the information. VERY Helpful! I will report back when I find something wrong! JimG 2006 Monaco Camelot PAQ
  8. Brett63, Thank you so much for the response. The Cummins Tech checked the ECM and found it to be working properly, so I can eliminate that module. The engine now starts/runs but that is when we discovered the "Check Transmission" light + gauge issue. I believe someone sent me a layout of the CAN Buss to look at. The difficult part is finding the other modules. The Allison Tech checked all the modules connected to the transmission and he said they were all operating properly, just no communication between them, so I can eliminate those. My gut feeling is that the resisters are burned out. Is the doetsch connector the data port located in the front run bay and in the rear? Not familiar with that connector name. Do you have a photo of what the terminating resister (triangle shape) actually looks like? I don't remember a unit like that in the run bay but, there again, I was not specifically looking for it either. The coach is going to be towed back to my RV Park on Monday, so I will start the troubleshooting then. Thanks again, JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  9. Frank, Not sure if you have followed my saga about my 2006 Camelot getting hit by lightening. It took out mainly chassis items (along with an A/C board, tank monitors and Magnum remote display). It has been suggested the CAN Buss is in error. I had Cummins mobile service come here and they got the engine starting. It was the high pressure fuel pump as well as the engine ECM. He could not get to the ECM using the front or rear data ports. He finally plugged into the ECM directly and it was working. He re-plugged it into the data bus and it worked. Engine Solved. Maybe it rebooted. Now the "check transmission" light came on with the engine start. The ABS light and ATC lights are on. The dash gauges go crazy, pegging and then going to 0. The transmission selector light segments will blink in conjunction with the gauges. We had Allison Mobile Service come out. He checked the transmission ECU and it was okay. He did unplug several modules with out changing the above scenario. He confirmed that we both smelled a burn smell in the front run bay. No visible burned wires or fuses. The transmission does work but, for safety, we had it towed to a service center and they said, we can not work on this, so it will be towed back to our RV Park. That is when I need to try my luck. So...My issue is that no one near Crystal River, Florida will attempt to fix our coach. MANY RV Service Centers have been called all around Florida, by Progressive Insurance. I believe I need to start looking deeper into this myself. I was told there is a resister at the front of the CAN Buss and one at the end. I am thinking maybe the resister burned in the front run bay (if that is where it is), and that is what I smell. I do not know what it looks like, where either resister is and how to locate front or back units. My background is electronics so I have multiple volt/ohm meters. I just need direction! Can you give me any guidance? I am handicapped (bad legs) but I can direct friends to help me. Any help you can give me would be very appreciated... JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  10. Thanks for the recommendations Tom. Most of those places you listed will not touch it! I do not think the repair shop in Tavares, FL called Coach Crafters was called. I will give the insurance guy that info. All others were called. We just need a repair estimate. The coach was towed to Nature Coast RV and sits in their back lot. Our adjuster wants to bring it back here in our Park, but I have to find a place to put it. At least I can keep an eye on it here. So...This brings me to a thought I had from other conversations on this forum. At one point someone said the CAN Buss had a resister on both ends of the wiring. I think one end is in the front run bay under the driver seat (correct?). I need to know if that is true, what the resister looks like (is it is a snap-in housing at the end of two wires), and where I could get a replacement resister. I just need more specifics. A picture of the housing, general location, etc. I am at the point where I need to try something and the front resister may be an easier thing to try. If someone knows where the rear resister is, please chime in. I did smell some burning in the front run bay, so that may have been the resister burning up for the CAN Buss. Has anyone dealt with this before?? Please help. Thank you, JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  11. Just wanted to fill everyone in on my Camelot that was hit by lightening... As I mentioned above, the ISL engine was repaired and working properly. There is still an issue with the transmission communicating with the selector in the coach, although the coach is driveable, at least at very slow speeds. The gauges are still going crazy and the ABS, etc is still lighted on the dash. Our insurance company had it towed to a local RV Repair Center and, upon arrival, the service center said they do not work on chassis issues. Our Insurance Agent said he made the mistake of asking if they do electrical repair and NOT chassis repair. So...The coach is now sitting at this RV Shop about 10 miles from us and they told my wife, they want it out of there ASAP and the Insurance adjuster can not find a place to take it for the chassis repairs. We are located in Crystal River, Florida and I am looking for a RV Repair shop that can handle this job with the databus. We are on the west central coast of Florida. Any thoughts on a fairly close repair facility? By the way I did try the reset Frank mentioned and that did not correct any of the problems... JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  12. I will unplug the 50 amp power, take the negative cable off both house and chassis batteries. I know exactly where the solar controller is, but I do not remember seeing a fuse. I will unhook the controller outputs if I have to. I will let the coach sit for 1/2 hour. I will then attach the negative cables to both battery banks and get the solar controller back on line then plug in the 50 amp service. By the way, the burned smell I smelled was in the front run bay. Yesterday, I went through every fuse in the two modules in there as well as looked for any burned wires. All fuses okay. All wires I could see were okay. Maybe the 60 ohm resister fried in there??? I have an Aladdin Jr. in the system that comes on but shows no readings (Reads 0). Again, a direct issue with the buss I am assuming. I do not know if this system has a reset. I have heard of a reset button but never found one for this unit. Maybe that will come back too. Thanks for all your help. If I did not describe the correct sequence above, let me know. We will try this in the morning! JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  13. OK...I have questions! To do a "reset" on the control modules, I would unhook the positive line from the chassis battery and unplug the 50 amp cord. Wait 10-15 minutes and hook everything back up again. I do have a solar controller but it goes directly to the batteries for charging (I put in a switch so I can charge the house or chassis batteries. I would set this on "house" to do the above. Do I have this procedure correct? Do I have to unhook the house batteries? The 60 ohm resister on either end of the buss...In the front run bay I saw a small module on the end of two wires. There are a few of them in that bay. I am assuming one of those units is the 60 ohm resister in the front? How will I know which little module it is? Is it marked as such? If that is correct, where is the rear 60 ohm resister located? I assume it is near the rear port? I do not believe I know where that port is either. I guess I could measure across the rear or front port to check the resistance with the power off. Do I have to have all the modules disconnected from the main buss? The PDF I downloaded says to test the resistance between pins C & D and H & J. It does not say to disconnect the modules?? I downloaded the "Checking and Testing J1939 and Diagnostic CAN Networks" PDF. I can try a few of the tests with my batteries disconnected and then with them reconnected. It says to test pins A & C for 2.6v (ignition on, engine off, batteries connected). It then says to test pins A & D for 2.3v reading. Since this is a truck CAN network, I just want to be sure it is the same for my Monaco Camelot and I can read everything at the front port below the driver in the run bay?? I have a friend here that can help me tomorrow. Thanks... JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  14. Follow-up on the lightening strike... The engine is now running. The CPU was not reading and when the Cummins Tech unplugged it and read it directly, he could see it. Reinstalled it and it was able to be read through both ports! Very weird. Second, the high pressure fuel pump had one of the pistons stuck to the cylinder head so it could not deliver the high pressure needed for the fuel. He freed it and got that working and the engine started. Today an Allison mobile Tech come here since now the dash says Check Transmission. It actually is drivable, but the light is on and the shifter indicator blinks and is not solid. He could not see the TCM with the computer. He swapped modules, the TCM and he even took the TCM out and tested it outside the coach. It was okay and so were the modules he removed. Put everything back in and told us there was nothing wrong with the transmission components, except they were not communicating with each other. So he concluded that the lightening strike must have burned some wires in a harness somewhere in the coach. Some of my gauges are also going crazy. So he charged me an unbelievable price to come look at it and said he could not fix it!!! So here we sit with this and other issues. So my question to you all is: If you had a lightening strike and you had a similar issue like I have, did you find burned wires or relays and where did you find them? I am going to look in the front run bay tomorrow and look closely. I smell burned electrical "something" in there and I believe I should start there. I do have an insurance inspector coming next week to look things over since, every time I fix something, some thing else goes haywire! If you have any suggestions, please let me know what you think could have burned up! As you could imagine, it has been a pretty bad day! JmG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  15. I agree with the computer diagnostics! I will be sure he does that first. There was a question asked if my dash gauges light up when trying to start the engine. Everything looks identical on the dash as it looked before the strike. All the relays kick in as normal (I would know if it sounded different since I have started this rig over 15 years). It just will not fire. I hope to get some good news tomorrow with an engine start (and continuous running)! By the way, the fuel pump arrived today so I have that if needed. JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  16. Just left a message for Cummins and mentioned the lift pump. Asked if they had one the Cummins Tech could bring with him. The fuel pump should be here today. Would be nice to cover all bases. I will have the Tech do a diagnostic check on the system. It would be great if one of those fuses mentioned were blown, but I did have the first mechanic look at them and he said they looked okay. He did look at them pretty quickly though! Thanks for all the feedback. Will let you know what happens tomorrow!!! JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  17. First, we have talked about calling the insurance company to try to get reimbursed for all the failures we have paid for. Not sure how you prove it was a lightening strike?? Robert92867, how did you get them to cover it? jacwjames...The Tech that came out did not have a diagnostic computer (he is old school). He listened and could not hear the fuel pump running. I do have a Cummins Tech coming out Thursday morning and I am sure he can plug in and analyze the issue. I have the pump on the way, so I am hoping it is that. Twomed...I did not see a fuse as you described in that compartment. Will look again. I am hopeful the transmission is okay! Maybe the Cummins Tech can check that as well. Keep in mind that the engine will start and run for a very short time when the diesel mechanic shot some starting fluid into it. That is one of the reasons he felt the fuel pump was bad besides the fact that the primary fuel filter was not filling up with fuel. JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  18. Had a diesel tech here today and he determined that the fuel pump had failed. We actually got it running when he sprayed starter fluid in it and when the small blast was gone, it stopped. The main fuel filter was not filling up either. I do not know if there is a fuse controlling the pump circuit (could not find one) but he said to call Cummins Service (about an hour away) and see if they have a pump and if they can install it (he is going out of town). The folks at Cummins in Ocala tried to find a pump and they said there is no pump for this ISL anywhere in the country! What!! I scheduled a Tech from there to come here Thursday anyway and I said I will try to find a pump, which I did. Getting it from a heavy equipment company to the tune of $3400 with the core charge. Yikes! Also 2nd day shipping plus the Mobile Tech from Cummins coming out here. Guess I should have sold it months ago! Hopefully everything will work and we can deliver it on time. Actually, glad it happened to us (kind of) instead of the new people. If there is a fuse providing power to the pump, please let me know where it is so I can check it...Thanks for all your responses. JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  19. It sounds like the lift pump is running. Pulled one fuel filter and it was full. Some diesel running out of the exhaust. I am trying to get a diesel guy over here to check things. I saw three units in the passenger rear bay. One was labeled transmission and the other two i could not make out. I did not know they were fuses. Will check them. The coach was plugged into shore power when we got the lightening hit. I believe it was in the next lot from us...Still pretty close! If it happens to be a CPU issue, does anyone know if they are available and where to get one? Go figure this has to happen as I am selling it. I became handicapped so I guess it is time to pass it to someone who will use it more! Lived in it for 15+ years so it will be quite a lifestyle change! JimG 2006 Camelot PAQ
  20. We had a lightening strike near us 10 days ago. I had started the ISL just before that and it started and ran fine. Tried to start it today to move it and the engine turns over fine but it will not fire! Changed the fuel filters. Removed filters looked good. Still will not start with the new filters. This must be an electrical issue. Checked the fuses in the front run bay and could not see a bad fuse but did smell a possible electrical issue, not sure. Tried to find the engine CPU but I do not know where it is. What would prevent the 400 ISL from starting? We have actually sold the coach and they want to take delivery in 10 days. Must get this resolved. Any thoughts where I can look for the issue. We did have other issues after the lightening but they were all in the living area and have been corrected. This is the first issue with the coach! Please help... JimG 2006 Camelot
  21. I had bad luck with my original Goodyears. I switched to Michelin tires on my coach and by the 4th year they were cracking on the sidewalls. I did some research and finally purchased Yokohama tires. They ride as good as the Michelin tires and were much less in cost. They are wearing very well and I am very happy with the Yokohama tires.
  22. Ward, Under our current internal company system, we can not send out a system on spec. We have no way to have you pay for it after the fact. If you get tired of waiting for PP to finish the pulse system, you can purchase a new system from one of our dealers like Techno RV and we will get it working for you. You can call me at the TST number and I will help you set it up over the telephone. JimG 2006 Camelot TST Lead Tech
  23. Ward, Sorry to hear about your TST issues. The information you were told is not something our Tech Department would say so I am confused as to who you spoke with. Are you sure it was TST or possibly one of our dealers (like Techno RV)? None of us would tell you to put the repeater in the battery compartment. That is a Faraday Cage and the repeater will not work in there. Moving the display to the other side of the dash will not solve interference issues. None of the suggestions sound like anything one of my Techs would tell you. Very odd. Wish I had talked with you. Sorry for the issues. I believe they could have been resolved. Also...Bob...Putting any repeater in the back wardrobe, if it has mirrors in front of it, is also a Faraday Cage. You may not get good results from that repeater placement. JimG 2006 Camelot TST Lead Tech
  24. Ed, You can have all the combinations you suggested. If you have more than one trailer coded in with sensors on each trailer, whatever trailer you are towing will stay on the screen and the other trailers will become invisible after driving the first trailer away from them and 15-20 minutes pass. With your display, you can remove the motorhome from the screen by pushing and releasing the GO and (+) buttons at the same time. Press the same two buttons to bring the tire icons back. To manually remove the trailer tires, push and release the GO and (-) button at the same time. push the same two buttons to bring the trailer icons back. All this is stated in the manual... JimG 2006 Camelot TST Rep
  25. Ed...Sounds like you have an earlier version of the color display. We listened to folks like you and more recently, we changed the colors on the screen for the read-out. The set-up has also changed some. You can now add four trailers and set up the alarms for each trailer separately. We do make improvements from the feedback our customers give us!! JimG 2006 Camelot
