  1. Changing the air brake actuator fixed that leak but still have other leaks I’m working on. Thanks everyone for your help. Don Genesse
  2. Ivan, Can you PM me at hikenbike77@gmail.com? Don Genesse
  3. Thanks. I went to the local Peterbuilt parts store and they didn’t have it in stock but could order it and have it in 5 days for $150!!! On line it was $45 to $100. Went to NAPA and they will have it here Tuesday for $55. The part number they used was KN20031. It will be installed Tuesday then I get to air check the whole system. Thanks everyone. Don Genesse
  4. Craig, thanks for the feedback. Hopefully when I get it out there will be a p/n on it or a manufacturer name on it. Don Genesse
  5. When I apply the emergency brake (pulling the handle up) I can hear a air leak. If I wiggle the handle it seems to stop although the air gauge goes down to 0 PSI in a few hours. I just rebuilt the front and rear six packs (what a PITA). I had a couple leaking so I did them all. Thank you "Ivan" for the tool to removing the nut on the air valve. So, my question before I get into it is, is the brake actuator (not sure of the correct nomenclator) rebuildable (ie replace o rings) assuming there are o rings or do I just replace the actuator? Either way if it is rebuildable what size are the o rings and how many? If not rebuildable, what is the part number for the valve? It's a HWH system on a 04 Camelot, air leveling. TIA. Don Genesse
  6. I would love to have a complete set, left and right. 04 Camelot. Don
  7. First I want to thank everyone for your input. Now I know a little more than I did before working on the generator. I received the new belt today and installed it right away. Checked everything real close then started it up. It started right away. Let it run for 15 minutes then put a good load on it and ran the genny for a half hour. It ran flawlessly. No error codes. So on to the next project (rebuild the air valves). Thanks everyone. Don
  8. Ivan, I'm about to rebuild all the air valves on both 6 pacs. I would like to have one of the nut adapters. My email is hikenbike77@gmail.com. I will gladly pay for the shipping. Thanks. Don
  9. Just an update on my generator issue. I have been waiting for a belt for a week. Supposed to be here tomorrow. As soon as it gets here I will install it and put the panels back on and run it . The last time I ran it, it ran for 15 minutes and stopped. Since I had the side, back and top panels off I'm thinking it got to hot with all the panels off (air not properly circulating). At least is was starting. That was the original problem, not starting. Once they are all back on I'm hoping my issue with shutting down goes away. At least it did start. More to follow. Don
  10. Thanks Ivan and Richard for your feedback. Don
  11. Richard I’m about read to rebuild the air valves on each 6 pac on my 04 Camelot. I wasn’t planning on removing the manifold. Guess it depends on how good or bad it looks. My question is where did you get the spare coils? I checked with HWH and they want over $100 bucks for each one. The guy I talked to didn’t know what the resistance each coil should be. I’ve heard 10 or 15 ohms. The spare I have measures 11 ohms. I guess I could do a voltage check to see if the coil activates the air valve.
  12. Thanks Ivan. The one that was replaced last summer has a label on it but it’s not readable. But at least I now know which size to get. I’m ordering the orings today and hopefully will be able to start next week. The MH is up on blocks ready to go. More to follow. Don
  13. I had a shop replace an air valve on the rear six pack due to an air leak while I was traveling. It was pricey. Hopefully they put the correct valve in. How do I determine which one to get if I need one? I believe there was a green Dot on the inside bottom of the valve. I didn’t see any markings identifying the size??? OBTW, the MH still looses air over night on the left rear. So probably another leak. This is why I am going to rebuild all of them. I don’t imagine the oring store sells coils if I need a new one. Someone must sell the coils. Probably whoever sells the air valves. I checked the resistance of the old valve and it was 15 ohms. I want to get this right the first time. Thanks. Don
  14. Ok, it's time to tackle the 6 pack air valves (waiting for Gen parts to come in so I need a new project!!!). From what I remember, the source for the O rings was Valid (located in Canada). Talked to them and they said they don't service HWH systems?? Dupont Viton are the O rings of choice but where is a good source to buy them? I have the sizes for all 3 O rings. Also may need a coil or two if they check bad. Does anyone know what the resistance reading should be of the coil or is it a voltage check? Any POC's at whatever company will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Don
  15. No to the thermostat and gasket. I just replaced the sensor 2 years ago. Guess I need to get the part numbers for the thermostat and gasket.
  16. Generator Update. Thanks for all the inputs. After reading all the comments I looked closer for the error codes. After the 3 digit code I pushed the switch again and got a code 19 (governor issue). Nothing very specific. After looking into governor problems I took a resistance reding on the two wire lugs on the governor and the readings were within parameters. I had already cleaned all the terminal connections I could find on the generator and chassis. After doing all this the generator now starts. I let it run for about 10 minutes and everything was running good so I put a load on it. It ran for 15 minutes and shut down. Wasn't real happy about that. After waiting a couple minutes I started it up again, waited a few minutes and loaded it up again with the same results. I have the top, right side and rear panel off and I'm hoping that it wasn't getting proper cooling since everything was open. There were no error codes. I have the fan belt off and a couple hoses off so I can't do any more troubleshooting until I get the parts back so I can run it again. Hopefully once it is all closed up it works as it should. I have done a complete service on it.
  17. Thanks Tom. I'll try to jump start it to see what happens but first I'll have to get the better half to help while I read the voltage while she tries to start the gen. The batteries are only 6 months old (4 Trojan batteries) and should be good but I'll have to check anyway. I also have a clamp on meter and I'll have that on too. She won't be happy cuz it hasn't been above 30 degrees for several days. The MH is in a garage and the temp is around 40 inside. I keep the MH plugged in all the time. Just tryin to get the darn thing to work. More to follow. Don
  18. I have a 04 Camelot 38 ' PST (original owner) and the generator wouldn't start (fault code 3, needs service). Gen has 347 hours on it. I serviced the gen (oil change, oil, air and fuel filter). Before I serviced the gen it would not start (did not turn over). The light on the switch both inside and outside flashed 3 times then repeated. The service was due anyway. It had been 6 or 7 weeks since I had started it and was going to exercise it. It ran fine after we returned home from our summer trip. I have a full tank of fuel, oil is just under the full mark and the coolant is full. I'm not sure if any of the items (oil level, fuel level and coolant level) would stop the gen from just turning over. I have checked the voltage at the rear of the gen and have 13.8VDC. With the covers off I measure the same at the starter solenoid. The 3 fuses (2 15amp and 1 25 amp) under the external start panel are good (checked with a meter not just a visual). Chased the ground wire attached to the gen back to the frame and it is good (clean and tight). Not sure if there is a way to check the solenoid. The old school way to start a car if the solenoid was bad was to take a screwdriver and short out 2 poles and it would start or at least turn the engine over. There are only 2 poles on the solenoid and they are positive and negative so that won't work. Any suggestions to what I might try to get the darn thing to turn over and hopefully start would really be appreciated.
  19. Don (Old Dog) do you have the number for Valid. I did a web search for them and can’t find them. I just bought an air valve from Northwest RV it was $125. Don
  20. Thanks Ivan. I knew I could probably take it apart with the nuts but I like having the right tools for the job. I’m still in San Diego and won’t be home for a while, but it’s on my list to do before the next trip.
  21. I have the same problem with my 04 Camelot. While on vacation in San Diego I found a truck repair shop that did work on motor homes and was familiar with the six packs. He found a leak on one of the solenoids and ordered a new one. Went back and he installed it and it’s working fine. The solenoid was $200 dollars and labor was $400 i need to rebuild all of them and have the O ring specks but I don’t have any info on the pin wrench. I’m imagine there are many sizes out there. Does anyone have a part number or a place where I can buy the correct wrench? Thanks in advance. Don
  22. Jim, Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner but we re moving and things are getting real hectic. Anyway, the fault code is 97 with a MD of 32??? The SRC is ENG, the TPE is PID and the Component is Water in fuel indicator. Hope this make sense to you cuz all I get out of it is the water in fuel light was on. Once I changed the filter out everything was good. When I unplugged the connector to the filter the light went out. So it was a no brainer at that point. Just need to make sure I order the Fleet Guard filter instead of the knockoff. Didn't realize it was a knockoff. Thanks for all the iinfo. Don Genesse 04 Camelot
  23. Problem with the water in fuel light is off. I removed the plug and the dash light went out. So I removed the filter and put in a new filter. Works as advertised. I removed the sensor and all it is, is 2 metal contacts insulated from each other. Once water gets in the sensor cavity the pins are shorted out thus completing the circuit and the light on the dash goes on. Pretty simple. Learn something new all the time, especially working on these rigs. The filter that had the wrong receptacle on it had the letters GAQ in front of the FS1022 part number. Obviously not a true Fleet Guard product. I ordered the Fleet Guard FS1022 and it came in 1 day and fits and works like it should. Jim: I haven't turned on the Silverleaf yet to get you the codes. I'll do that Saturday. Thanks again everyone for your valuable suggestions and input. Greatest group ever. Don Genesse 04 Camelot
  24. Thanks y’all. I have a house plumbing problem to deal with today but the MH problem will be next. Good input. The part number on the filter was the same FS 1022. Sure will check every time I receive another one. I’ll check the code number. Don Jeff The filters were identical except for the size of the plug receptacle. Sure would have saved me a lot of time if I would have paid attention to the receptacle prior to installing the new filter. That won’t happen again. Don
