  1. Thanks for Schematic. Only one of my front windshield shades don't work, the day shade, black mesh. It only chirps when you press the up down switch.
  2. I had my 08 Exec in MCD several years ago with the same issue. My windshield day shade just beeps. Th night shade works properly. Calvin the shade tech said it was a low power issue. Said might be an easy fix but could be very costly. I said leave it and it is positioned where I want it for driving. Afraid to move it since may not get it back up.
  3. There is a 5 amp fuse in the front run bay on my o8 Exec. You may check there and see if you have one. My toad connection harness had a short in it took me about 3 fuses to figure it out
  4. WE don't have state inspections, but will consider doing this.
  5. I tracked the wire from the fixture down to a bunch of wires going into a lot of wire looms. At this point i made a command decision. 3 options, continue taking everything apart which could take hours, leave the light on, or make it go out. I decided 2 brakes lights were enough did not need 3 lights, so just cut the positive wire and bingo no more light. I'm not sure anyone could track that wire to where it spliced into main brake wire. It was not at taillight fixture. I'm usually not a quitter but I threw in the white towel on this one.
  6. You should have two vacuum breakers, one under kitchen sink and one under bathroom sink. They are black about 1 1/2 inches around and 3 inches high. Black and you can purchase them at Lowes, Home Depot etc. That will probably cure your problem.
  7. Thanks Dennis, will check that today. Had not thought about it being wired to main brake lights. Should be the blue wires.
  8. I will try to get to it tomorrow. I think you are right about gremlins
  9. Yesterday after parking from driving all day in the rain noticed the red light above the engine compartment was on. All switches in MH are off. I drove home today in rain again. Both days I had lights turned on due to rain. The light is about 12 inches long and 1 inch high. I have tried to find a way to turn it off, no luck. Do anyone have an idea as to what causes it to stay on and how can I turn it off?
  10. Hwy 70 is a main truck route from NE New Mexico down to El Paso but not much traffic.
  11. Don't take 82 out of Artesia, tunnel and a steep descent from tunnel down to Alamogordo, plus a long uphill into Cloudcroft. The route through Roswell and Ruidoso is much Better. I live in Carlsbad and know the roads much better.
  12. Have a nice two nice trips.. A lot of MH's have cracked windshields.
  13. SUCCESS!!! After checking voltage into genset at 12,8V, I called Flight Systems yesterday AM. I talked to Tom and relayed all that I had done. He asked me how hard did I press the connector into the controller told him it went in pretty easy. He said you basically have to stand on it. I got back into genset and pushed and pushed and finally got it seated. Viola it started up. I turned on AC's moved it outside and it ran over 3 hours. There is very little room in the controller area so you can't get but one hand in there to push. So it appears that a 77 year old does not have the hand strength he used to have. Thanks again for all of the suggestions.
  14. I plugged it in just like the other one came out. Put the old one back in and same thing NADA will try what Tom Cherry said. Thanks to both of you.
  15. Got the new controller from Flight systems and installed. Hit the start button and heard the fuel pump come on and no sign of the starter turning over. Checked batteries and all were up. Started the MH and still nothing on either start switches for generator. Where do I go next.
  16. My 525 ISX runs 34-35 at 1500 RPM. I called Cummins after I bought it and they said that was normal. My 400 in the 04 Windsor run about 50.
  17. You are not the first to do this. Glad you figured it out
  18. Mine is exactly like yours Dave. I emailed Flight Systems today and gave them the symptoms. I'm sure I will be getting your recommendation. Mine shows no burnt spots but may have a short.
  19. I got it out. Removed side access door, then removed the overflow tank and it was right under that. The numbers on mine do not match the # Dave Pratt gave me. I will call Flight Systems Monday and give the the #'s I found. Thanks for everyone's assistance.
