  1. You could try a good stop leak and that may solve the minor leak there. My 5.9B head gasket started leaking there when I was on a trip and I stopped mine by cleaning out that area as best I could, scraping out in that seam as good and in as far as I could get in there. then I cleaned the area with brake cleaner and being parked at a deluxe site at Walmart, I got a roll of tank sealer epoxy, mixed it up real good then put it in the crack and used a screw driver to drive it into there as much as I could and let it cure overnight, Some might say this is Mickey Mouse, but I was on a 6,000 mile trip. That was ten years ago and it hasn't leaked since. Oh ya, after the trip, I re-torqued the head bolts to 125 ft lbs by taking one head bolt out one at a time, cleaned oil lubed the threads. HTH
  2. It looks to me that the gasket where the strip goes into has split. The window gasket needs to be replaced unless you can glue the whole thing together. I'd try, if it was mine, is to clean that area up with denatured alcohol and then get some black polyurethane glue and glue it all together and somehow clamp it together until the glue dried(about 24 hrs). 3. I'm late to the party again, I would have attacked it with a air chisel and split the nut.
  4. Received digests for 4-5 days and now I haven't got one since the 19th....Done what was suggested, still nothing from the 19th. Not in any folder on Gmail or my computer. Skip H. Just changed email address, see if this works better.
  5. I'm not getting digests the last couple of days. I checked my settings and nothing had changed. What's up? Skip H. 96 Monaco
  6. Been meaning to write about the refrig cooling unit I replaced in my old MH. I got an Amish made cooling unit to replace the one I had and after replacing it, I stripped the old cooling unit of foam to recycle the steel. I decided to drill a small hole in the unit to remove the pressure and liquid in it. Boy was I surprised. there IS high pressure gas in it which I assume is hydrogen. The cooling unit was 8 feet from the MH and it sprayed yellow over an estimated area of 16 square f Now, I see why motorhomes are burning up. If I had known this, I would have got a Helium gas cooling unit. Skip H 96 Monaco
  7. I had an old 86 P30 that had a brake dragging problem. It had a mechanical hookup between the pedal and the Hydroboost. There was a crossover bar between the frame and engine that was rusted(had ball and socket in the ends) and wouldn't release the brakes all the way. Drilled the bar and zerk installed, grease and that ended the problem. HTH Skip H. 96 Monaco Windsor
