  1. Thanks to you both. I will contact them. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  2. I am wintering in the Mesa, AZ area and have two windows that have lost their seal and have fogged over. Has anyone tried a repair business in that area that is reliable? Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  3. We have the Splindide combo in our ‘15 Dynasty and we generally like it although all of the previous comments are correct. My only dislike with it is that about every 6 months, I have to get access to the back and back flush the ‘self cleaning’ filter. The normal w/d cycle takes 1.5-2 hours but Splendide support recommends that you always use the extra rinse cycle to help keep the filter clean. Even by doing so, you still have backflush. Also, my wife has started using Sheets Laundry Club laundry detergent that has no liquid in them. She uses 1/2 sheet because the loads are small. She buys them through Amazon. They store easier and is a lot less messy. I hav skin allergies to some detergent and these are good for that. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  4. I have a 2015 Dynasty and 2 of the last 3 years, the REMCO pumphead has frozen when the outside temp gets down around zero. I have a small 250 watt heater I put in there but it doesn’t seem to do the trick. Supposedly, the AquaHot serves a heat exchanger for this compartment as well as the basement but I have not found it or the thermostat to control it. My question is if anyone has found an insulated bag or cap to put on the pumphead or a better way of providing heat in the wet bay. I have seen some heated pads to put between the water tanks and maybe there’s some short heat tape that could be used but would like to hear your comments. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  5. All of my taillight lenses have frosted for whatever reason and I’m wondering if there is an easy repor to remove the frosting without damaging the lens. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  6. I replaced my REMCO 5.3 home water pump with the same model on my 2015 Dynasty and now it surges when dry camping. I am puzzled because I have replaced it once before with no issues. I am wondering if I missed something or installed it incorrectly. Any suggestions? Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  7. After being with State Farm for nearly 50 years, I am going to change company. I recently totaled my toad due to a malfunction on my Jeep GC. Coming out of a car wash the engine rapidly accelerated after putting into gear and I ran into a concrete culvert. No injuries but I wiped out the car. Now State Farm is adding $600 extra on the new car’s 6 month premium which makes it $3100/year on a 2023 Grand Cherokee! I am registered in SD so has anyone had good results with insurance there? 8. Is the control of this shade done from a separate switch for ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’? Or is this controlled by a multiplex switch where each time you press the switch, it reverses the direction? Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  9. I have the same issue on my 2015 Dynasty but don’t see the same switch on the Carling website. Once the light burns out, is it possible that this can cause the genset to start on its own without pressing the switch? I took this to Cummins and they couldn’t find a shirt in the wiring. On the Energy Command monitor, I get an alarm that shows ‘Over Prime’. Mine is a 12.5 Kw Oman. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  10. Try Googling Electrical Outlet Extension Rings They are available in metal one non-metal and vary in depth. It will stick out some from the face of the wall though. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  11. After testing, I have power at the connector and inline fuse going to the pump so the problem is a failed pump, which incidentally is only 8 months old! Thanks for all the help.
  12. I have found that whenever I press a WATER PUMP MPX switch in the coach, all illuminate so I will check out the pump. Ironically, the file you had me download was one that I originally had uploaded when you asked for drawings last year.
  13. Thanks! I am downloading the file and will reread to digest all this and then start troubleshooting.. Thank you for the prompt reply.
  14. I can’t get my water pump to come on when I press to multiplex switch at any location. I checked the fuse in the fuse block as well as the inline fuse and they are all in tact. There’s a relay in the circuit and don’t know how to test it. When I tried to see if I have 12V at the connector, it reads 0 volts. The pump is less than a year old but may have failed. Any suggestions as to how to test the relay or what the problem might be? It is a REMCO #5AQUAJET-ARV pump. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  15. I am in Kansas City, Missouri. Need someone in the Midwest.
  16. Has anyone had success with a repair shop in the Kansas City area to repair a slideout? I have an issue with my bedroom slide where the aluminum H bracket the holds the slideout motor and gears has twisted and has left a gap at the housing where rain can come into the coach. I have contacted REV and they referred me to Lippert but they have been unable to send me drawings to show how this is attached to the frame around the opening. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  17. Monaco likes to press a false bottom inside the cabinets. On my ‘15 Dynasty, I can remove it with a pocket knife stuck in around the front edge. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  18. I recently had a check engine light on my dash. I have the Silverleaf Electronics display so I checked it and it said Fault code 641-9, VGT Temp-Driver-Update. It has been intermittent and didn’t occur again for about 20 hours of driving. So I went to a Cummins Shop and after 4hours of diagnosis(about $700), they said they couldn’t find anything, but they said it could be a loose connection or a wire shorting against some metal or several other things. Their recommendation was to replace the wiring harness which was estimated to be about $5000 installed! They said I could just monitor it but they said to get it taken care of. Has anyone run across this issue and if so, how was it resolved? I have driven a couple of days since and no warning lights have come up. This is a ISX-600 Cummins in a 2015 Dynasty. Hope I have given enough information. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  19. Yes. I went to the local Jeep Dealed and he pulled up the build card on my GC. He said it had the electric power steering and all Jeeps with electric power steering are prone to wobble. He said to have a switch mounted in the console and an inline fuse holder added under the hood to put power to the steering when towed!
  20. In the Tecma manual, it says to check to see if the macerater is clogged or stuck, check voltage to see if it’s too low and check the sensor to be sure it’s not indicating that the tank is full. Mine would not flush after a short trip but 3 hours later it was working fine. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  21. I have a 2016 Grand Cherokee that we have towed for 7 years with no issues. Recently, twice while turning a corner at a low speed, the two front tires get out of sync and causes the vehicle to wobble back and forth until I slow to a very slow speed while going straight ahead. We had an ‘11 Cherokee that Jeep had to put a switch in the console and I had to install a fuse in a harness under the hood to correct that issue but didn’t think I would have that problem with the Grand Cherokee. Has anyone else had this problem with a Grand Cherokee? Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  22. My rear toilet is the macerating type but the other is in the middle right over the black tank and doesn’t have a macerater. I tried to flush again about 3 hours later and it worked and still works! I hate these intermittent problems. I plan to call the manufacturer and ask customer service for advice. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  23. I have a Thetford Tecma toilet in my ‘15 Dynasty that will not flush. I checked my manual and it said possible problems might be that the tanks are near capacity but they are empty and the green sensor light indicates they are empty also. It mentions a clog in the mascerater but this one does not have a macerater. The other toilet in the coach flushes properly. I have running water in the sinks but can’t figure this one out. I even tried holding both buttons on the wall plate simultaneously to empty the bowl but nothing happened. My question is whether ther is a reset button somewhere that I don’t know where it is. Any help is appreciated. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  24. I rechecked my can and it is called DeoxIT D5, it says it dissolves corrosion, improves contacts, and protects surfaces. It does say it is safe on plastics. I will check any new cans I buy to make sure they are safe on plastic surfaces. Thanks for the info. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
  25. If you go to the slippery Power Gear website, there is a procedure for reprogramming the wall control to get them back in sync. You have to hold the buttons on the back side till the slide comes in and then release and press the out button while holding the buttons in again to set the out stop point. Tom Gibbens ’15 Dynasty
