  1. When I had my Shepard box rebuilt the shop used a torch to heat the bolts/nut to get them loose. Bob U 2000 Dip Sold
  2. I didn’t have silver leaf or any monitor system, but when I experienced the stop engine light for a few seconds on my 2000 Diplomat it was time to replace primary filter.
  3. Use a water hose to spray different parts of windshield to locate leak. If you have more than one leak it is most likelyw NOT the lights above. They still makethe gasket as I had mine replaced. I doubt if it is a bad gasket. The body on mh twists and the glass moves. Where are you located?
  4. Well, we sold our 2000 Dip last month. We bought it new in 2000 from Lazy Days and put 134,000 miles on it. What a great coach and what memories we have. I turned 90 last June and we decided to quit traveling in MH as it was becoming hard to load/unload, hookup car and maintain it. We started motor homing in 1988 with a new Holiday Rambler, then a new 1994 Holiday Rambler and finally the new Diplomat. We attended the first Monaco rally at Lazy Days. I lived only 3 miles from Bill D and got a lot of help from him. He was a great guy. I plan on staying involved with Monacoer's as this is a great group. Happy Travels Bob U 2000 Dip
  5. I had the same problem on my 2000 Dip. I tightened the 3 bolts and it took care of the problem. A few years later the leak returned. I had the lift pump replaced. It cost me about &1000. Did not fix. I had a leaking return line. They repaired it as a final fix. Bob U. 2000 Dip
  6. I need the part number for Haldex Pure Air Plus air dryer for 2000 Diplomat. I am sure it is installed on other Monaco coaches. Bob U
  7. K9. Air dryer is a Haldex Pure Air Plus . It may be the same as yours. Don't have part number Bob U
  8. Replaced air governor. No help. Found the Pure Air Plus filter leaking air. Beat on valve on bottom of filter Now working normal Does anyone know the part number for entire filter ? Bob U 2000 Dip
  9. Hi Nick,I found the air governor on the chassis rail. The line connections are tight and I can't break them loose. Did you spray yours with anything ? I may have to get a longer 1/2" wrench to break them loose easy to get to. Just almost too cold to work on it. Bob U 2000 Dip
  10. To K9EX My coach is a 2000 Dip with ISC8.3 Cummings. Where would I look for the governor unloader ?
  11. I started the engine to build up air pressure so i could retract the slide outs. I only got about 10psi air pressure. About an hour before I had started the engine with no problems with air buildup. Never had any problems with the air system before. Bob U
  12. Yes, it will leak. I lost my front cover on my 2000 Dip last February. Search on brand and model for cover. Amazon has them.
  13. In my Diplomat it is the carbon monoxide sensor. Check the wires for 12 volts. I would replace it with a battery powered one from Home Depot
  14. Richard, how did you come up with the price of your coach ? Did you use NADA ? Bob U 2000 Dip
  15. Does anybody have any experience in selling or buying a motorhome thru National Vehicle Corp ? I am selling my 2000 Diplomat 40ft and am trying to get the best price. Bob U 2000 Dip
  16. I have Yokohamas on rear and Toyo on front. I am happy with them. Only problem is they don’t make a Toyo in 275/70R22.5 anymore.
  17. I have been trying to get prices for my coach which I may be selling soon. Every time I do a search I end up with some outfit that wants to sell it for me. Not interested it wholesaling it to someone else. Bob U 2000 Dip
  18. I use T4 in my 2000 Dip since I bought it new in 2000. Have 134,000 miles on the ISC 8.3 engine. In my opinion it is a waste of money to use synthetic oil. Bob U 2000 Dip
  19. Tried to start generator a couple days ago and it just made a clicking noise. I have a 2000 Dip which uses the house batteries to start generator. When I tried to start it all I got was a click. I then used the boost switch and it started right up. I checked the battery voltage and it was 13.6 volts. These are 8 years old Trojan T-105 so I went to Batteries Plus and got a quote of $169 each. OUCH!!! I decided to rotate the house 12v on/off switch and try starting it again. I t started right up. Moral of the story is check bad connections and on/off switchs before you leap !!! Hope this saves you some money. Bob U 2000 Dip
  20. Black urethane can be purchased at auto parts store. You can lay down blue tape and smooth out the sealer as you go. These glass guys don't care how it looks.
  21. CORRECTION: I just checked the air flow on condenser fan. It blows air out NOT in. Just checked it on my coach. Hope this did not cause you any problems. CRS Bob U 2000 Dip
  22. Condenser fan pulls air in. Bob U 2000 Dip
  23. I had a similar problem where compressor would try to start but condenser fan was sluggish . Its motor was stiff. This caused the circuit breaker that feeds both compressor and condenser motor to trip. the circuit breaker would reset itself and try again to start both. Replaced condenser fan and all was well. Bought fan at NAPA. Bob U 2000 Dip The clutch on compressor will have a very small amount of resistance. probably less than 10 ohms. Bob U 2000 Dip
