  1. I had Josh do numerous items on our coach 4-5 years ago & it worked out great but since I understand that there have been numerous issues financially. Plus several of their key employees have left. Best of luck!!!
  2. I realize you guys keep referring to HWH but on my 2006 Camelot the control panel says Valid PowerGear. Is that only referencing the controller and the solenoid 6 packs are by HWH? I presently am in South Dakota for Sturgis Rally & a few events in Deadwood. My drivers side will not stay up & level, tired of walking uphill & downhill! Appreciate all the info but slightly confused on system.thanks
  3. Does anyone have a Class A w a hydralift tow a trailer? Looking to compare & determine do’s & do not’s for upcoming decision!! Thanks for your assistance!
  4. I presently have a hydralift mounted on rear of my Monaco Camelot Coach. In process of moving cross country, relocating and future of traveling with a larger assortment of toys. I plan on towing a 30’ race trailer behind the Coach. The receiver for tow bar is mounted onto Coach but will require extension to pass under the hydralift. Is that extension w ball for trailer hookup just a tubing extension or should it be solid piece of steel extension due to the force it will experience for the 33” it needs to be? I’m not absolutely positive on the distance but 33” is close to the length. I am not the only person who will be doing this! Experience and lessons learned are valuable to how I set this up. Appreciate all input!Stay safe
  5. I considered the issue of unhooking trailer at times and believe that the Can-Am will be able to transfer trailer to park it!
  6. Hi All, I have learned much from this forum and appreciate all the info and insight this forum contributes. I have perplexing issue coming up and input from this forum will help me decide how to go. I have 42DSQ Camelot with 400 hp Cummins that we have had for 5 years and its ben renovated to our tastes. We presently have a Hydra Lift mounted on back end to haul motorcycle. It has worked out great and love it but the every travel creates need to detail again due to road and weather. I have just purchased a Can-Am Defender Max HD8 with a Triton deck trailer. Not a problem to haul and rather light and maneuverable. We will be traveling much more in the immediate future. Total I have 3 motorcycles plus Can-am Defender. The option is to purchase a 28-30 foot enclosed V nose to load minimal of 2 motorcycles and Can-am. Plus some necessities etc. Will need minimal 28 foot to load all. No reason to ever pull vehicle since we have motorcycle and always the number to Enterprise. Question is: How much traveling, camping, driving etc is it with a 42foot coach plus a 30 foot V nose trailer. This has been the discussion between myself and better half. Although both points we have discussed are totally logical would like some input from those of you have done this! I realize that it may limit us with some campgrounds and some additional planning is required concerning roads and tight spots. Would appreciate any and all input prior to making this change and investment. Plus hate to admit it that my better, smarter, more frugal common sense better half is correct once again!! thanks to all!! Stan
  7. I have a 2006 Camelot 42DSQ, windshield is cracked in bot5h outside lower corners & still cracking. It happened short time ago, no place with a clue in Chicago. Will be in Phoenix AZ for next several weeks & wondering if any one knows of company, person, etc who knows what they are doing!! This will be #rd one in 4 years & time to have some one do it right!! Any and all input with common sense or past experience would be appreciated.
  8. i have a 2006 Camelot 43DSQ, it has a one piece huge windshield and for the 3rd year in a row now I have just had it crack! Now in the past it has happened and always in the lower corners of the windshield on both passenger and driver sides. This time is no different except that my wife and I were sitting in MH and heard a bang like a rock was thrown against outside. Then I raised the curtain across the front of coach to see that it was cracked and not only cracked in both corners but severely cracked this time. The cracks in the past were interior of the glass but this time you can feel them on the outside and pick up slivers into your finger. I know this was always a problem but has anyone aware of what if anything Monaco is doing for customers of this issue? This is ridiculous and expensive besides this time I have concerns driving long distances with the present condition. Really pissed and sitting outside of Chicago with a dilemna.
  9. Basically previously had same and survived like that for last couple of years. Had TV mounted on slide, also used TV on side wall with suction cup! It used up space of storage area, was additional work to store and required unplugging and putting back into storage. Utilized precious storage space plus added additional work to set up and also tear down besides using the storage space. The mounted TV is tilted down to allow for great viewing, help eliminate direct shadows or reflection and also push of a button it works and stored! To each their own but the expense to me certainly makes me a happy guy and still looks as if it was factory. Not manufactured in garage. To each their own! Happy Holiday!
  10. Total install cost & paint was $3600! Best upgrade to date w 43” tv & touch of a button on remote to open & close!!
  11. The main rep for Girard that I talked to worked for Monaco back in the day. He supplied quite a few pictures of the install and also the renovator company I use who has already updated my 2006 Moncao Camelot sent me of a few they previously have done! It is an awesome option, we tailgate frequently and the idea of pushing a button to view is ideal for myself. Especially since one item on our bucket list is to tailgate the SEC conference!!
  12. I talked to Girard today and was sent some pictures of installation! Great idea and prefer the option of installing on side wall. There is an electric screw motor that opens and closes the cover, water tight etc. The opt ions are a 43" size tv insert and a 60'. Chuck the salesman worked for Monaco back in the day and pattened this product. The product is really sweet looking! Sizes of the outside of hole needed to fit tv box is 45 3/4 is the left to right hole - 29 1/2 is top to bottom size - 2 inches deep clearance beyond the wall. I have a number of pictures attached and short video to view! Thanks, Stan RV TV Video.mov RV TV Video.mov
  13. I would really like to add an exterior TV to our Class A Monaco Camelot. I have only seen one place to purchase this entire inserted system. Girard and they give you no dimensions, pricing etc.. Anyone have any experience or installed one of these units in the Coach? Also looking for dimensions since I am told they sell 2 systems! One a 60" TV and 40" TV? thanks to all!
  14. I have an issue with my slide control board or relays in the circuit for the front 2 slides. After getting ready for trip RV washed at a wash service and did some preparatory maintenance prior to planning on leaving evening early. Completed all I needed to get done, took shower in house came down to RV and shocked that my front curb side slide was fully extended. Neither myself or my wife extended it and had serious puzzled thought process questioning if I was suffering from Old Timers. Coach had been sitting for about 4-5 hours prior to slide moving out after washing! When I went to move it back in travel position it would not move but heard a clicking sound consistently. Found that the drive motor for slide was still trying to move slide out! Unplugged motor and then proceeded to check manual, read items on this forum and find out what to do! Evidently the relay that energizes out action stuck and the clutch was tripping as it continued to try and turn motor shaft. Disconnected the plug and eventually jumpered opposite direction to return to home position. Completed trip and had to jumper in and out while traveling. Then the front driver side slide would not move and found no power. Eventually jumpered power from passenger side slide plug to position slide in and out to complete trip. Nothing on wiring schematics show the individual circuit, The slide controller in rear engine bar pulled and rang out ok per licensed guy who repairs boards. The controller board is no longer made by IDS and only info REV Group is offering is to add another controller for each individual slide to operate them. We have gone thru wiring andf cannot find any relays in wiring with most of the wiring for front slides looking like they travel thru ceiling into rear of MH. The only information I presently have gotten is that i will need to rewire the four slides individually to separate boards for each slide. I have no idea what the bottom set of numbers identify but the only board I that came close was a IDS 10667E and it does not work. That is crazy but may be the only choice at this time? Nothing in all the drawings I can find along with repair shop (GUYS are excellent and worked at Monaco in the day) still at wits end! Any help would be appreciated. The Present board identification numbers are: IDS 10667D 1790500905 The new controller REV Group and Lippert are telling me to order and wire for each slide individually is: IDS Slide Out Control Box with Harness SKU-138450 There must be some relays in the circuit we believe that are stuck or worn out creating this situation. Any help?? Would be appreciated. Stan
