  1. Can’t you unplug motor underneath steps?
  2. Seems to me I replaced the dimmer switch in my 2008 Monaco Diplomat due to no lights in dash. It worked for me. And the lights on the panel in step entry came on as well. Hope this helps. Tony
  3. On my 2098 Monaco Diplomat, the front plywood panel was screwed in with carpet covering. Here are pics of underneath.
  4. I will also test using multipurpose Dremel tool with cutoff blade. Next question is power. Have an unused power wire for CB radio (not used). Tests seems to work fine with shade moving up and down. Any reason not to use that as power source?
  5. Bob, thanks for responding. I’m thinking you were referring to the windshield shade. That’s in the plan but need to cut OH cabinets first. Dennis, thanks as well. The plan is to install the new switch in the gap between the park break and trans module. Really prefer not to remove all of the existing switches in order to remove the panel. Thinking of marking and drilling corners. Then use Dremel with straight bit with wood guide blocks. I’ll practice to see if this plan will work before jumping in. Tony
  6. I installed the driver window MCD motorized shade. Remaining work is finding power source and installing toggle switch. For those who’ve install the toggle switch for the Motorized shades, what is the best method for cutting the cutout? Any help would be appreciated. Tony 2008 Monaco Diplomat 40’ PDQ
  7. Richard, thanks for responding. I tried glow sticks, metal fish, 10/3 wire to fish new antenna wire. Walked away after no success. Later this afternoon I tried the DEPSTECH flexible camera connected to my iphone. Worked like a charm, first try. Pull the AM FM antenna wire, Sirius XM wire, and left pull rope in event I need to do this again. Radio now has better reception with XM coming in loud and clear. Tony
  8. Oops, pulled the short extension antenna wire through roof of 2008 Diplomat 40’ PDQ. Antenna wire not connected to longer extension from radio. That helps explain why little to no reception. Have ordered new antenna. Have tried to fish wire through 1” hole toward side cap without any luck. Antenna is over drivers side left next to air horns. i would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have for threading the wire. Can anyone describe or provide pictures of the MH structure in that area? Do I need to remove cabinet over drivers head and pull back faux leather ceiling? Are there other options to get better AM FM reception with exterior roof antenna? Radio has been replaced with current tech. Thanks for any suggestions. Tony
  9. Gary, thanks for response. Mine has the same setup. My question is what keeps the bushing attached to the hollow rivet? Do I need new bushings, if so where do you get these? Thanks for posting. Tony
  10. David, thanks for replying. The small rod is hollow. I’m tryin to determine if it has threads. Not sure about a through bolt but will check tomorrow. Tony
  11. On my 2008 Monaco Diplomat 40’ PDQ, the interior step well cover has decided not to close. The arms connected to the linear actuator have a plastic bushing that connects to a small rod on the travelers. You can see these in the pics below. The red line points to the small rod (pivot point). The yellow line points to the connecting arm bushing. When the connecting arm bushing is connected to the small rod, what mechanism keeps them connected? Screw maybe that has come out of the small rod? Some type of clip? Spring loaded? Thanks for any help you can provide. Tony
  12. My panels have cracked as well. Have contacted Decorative Plastics in New Bern NC for samples. Unfortunately this is a lower priority for me.
  13. On my 2008 Diplomat, I replaced the headlight switch and dash lights came on. Additional benefit and surprise, the toggle switch lights by entry door also came on. In my case all the dash lights were out. Tony
  14. Ron, Would a straight silicon 1.5ID hose connector work? I’ve used these for dust collection connectors. Tony 40’ Diplomat PDQ Ron, or this from Rockler Tony
