  1. On my Windsor that light comes on when the jacks are down...
  2. I had called Source Engineering for mine, and he said set them to 9" all around. I did that but I need to call back though because my front rides almost two inches higher in the front then in the rear - measuring frame to road - and its visible when you stand back and look. Does everybody else's appear to ride level at least to the naked eye?
  3. 2004 Windsor here...definitely interested!! Sean stkspeer@gmail.com
  4. On edit, I may have removed the one engine mount bolt in the front....and you could rent an engine hoist,,,there is just enough room to slide it....
  5. Assuming your rig is a side radiator... I just removed my pan and put a new pan gasket on it. I painted it and put it back. I had to lift up on the front of the engine with an engine hoist to give the pan room to clear the rear support. I did not remove the engine mount bolts, there was enough flex to lift it a couple inches. I also tilted the hitch (its basically a square) - I only took the rear bolts (closest to front of coach) out of the hitch, loosened the front bolts and pushed the front of the hitch straight up as far as possible so the back of the hitch is as low as possible... these two things allowed me to slide the pan out. You only need 4-6 inches to clear the pickup tube with runs from the front shallow end of the pan to the deep end. I had no issues with the pan clearing at the rear (trans side). Hope this helps...
  6. I am not sure trading up with make it any better. Nicer for a bit, but the way they make rigs today I am thinking my unit is more solid and dependable. You would still need to dump money in a newer one. Although less for a couple years if you started out new. JMHO....
  7. If an 04 counts.... I have done the high pressure fuel pump, doing the oil pan gasket, have redone the alternator, new water pump, and replaced a transmission line as it got a hole rubbed in it. Other than that mostly basic maintenance.. It has been a solid unit with 125k on it.
  8. Yep,, but yours wasn't just any old aftermarket, it looks like you found an exact replacement which is great (except for the price).
  9. I have seen folks have issues with after market alternators supposedly because of the additional load we put on them to charge things going down the highway, such as battery banks and fridges, etc.. I had mine rebuilt four years ago with no issue. If I was on the road and had issues (and I have) I would run the generator so that I don't have to a repair on the side of the road or during a trip.
  10. Definitely interested in the answer to this question. My Nason switch even after replacing is a constant pain.. have to push it in and out a couple times to get the parking light to come on now.
  11. There is a coil that wraps around the burner... I have always been told that you need to pump antifreeze thru the aqua hot and that’s what I do. A friend only blew air thru his and it froze up costing him 10k
  12. You should call Monaco for the ride heights. My manual indicated what the ride heights should be but when I set them to the manual, I always thought the coach rode low in the rear. Called Monaco and they gave me ride heights a whole inch to inch and a half higher then the manual stated...... Now the coach rides a lot better. Previously I was getting a lot of porpoising (bouncing) from the front end going over bumps.
  13. Noted...but I have had my Windsor for 8 years and time and time again you have kept and provided useful information that has made my life easier...so thankyou. Sean
  14. Richard,,, as always you are a wealth of knowledge...was just wondering last week how to wire up a brake controller on my 04 Windsor...awesome as always!!! Sean
  15. Mt Airy is nice...we live all the way down in Southern Maryland ..
