Steve Maurer's Achievements

  1. We have done that route a few times in our 35 ft class A. Only issues are the ***** riding your tail. Just be patient and pull over when too many pile up.
  2. Get under coach and look at rear trailing arms. I have 2005 Safari Cheetah in which one broke due to a road bump. It really gets scary when you start to drive at higher speeds. Steve
  3. I have 2005 Cheetah, ducts run under kitchen cabinets, you might want to check if ducts are damaged or the branch circuit to the rear is disconnected. In my coach, there are some vent covers on the floor that are adjustable, you might want to check that. Steve
  4. Hi, The fitting is probably spun welded to the tank. I had the same problem with my black water tank at the three inch drain fitting. I had to replace the tank. i might suggest you look at https://www.recpro.com/universal-rv-holding-tank-installation-fittings-kit/. These fittings are installed from the outside of the tank and work quite well. If you have access to the leaky fitting and if there is enough land, perhaps cut out the leaking fitting using hole saw and replace with a larger size one. Then you can plug the new fitting. good luck. steve
  5. Had same problem with tow dolly used with 2005 cheetah, problem was with spade lug connection at dolly running lights.
  6. My 2005 cheetah had the handle screwed in. I replaced it with a lighted handle.
  7. I used a white tie wrap which had a tab for a screw for anchoring. Worked great.
  8. Hi, i had to replace sewage tank on my coach. it was fairly easy because was able to swing up access panel on the other side of coach,(4 screws at bottom of panel.) Got a close match tank from Recpro. The key is figuring out how to access tank on passenger side. Steve
  9. Try this https://www.nwrvsupply.com/product/atwood-window-latch-dh343ck/
  10. I had same problem. Sent radiator to be refurbished, came back looking like new and no more overheat problem.
  11. Hi, has anyone compiled how many fires versus how many refrigerators? Or any data of full time use vs 3-4 times a year. What really is the risk? Just Curious.
  12. Ok I understand the concern now!
  13. Why would you not be safe running fridge, especially using ac power only? Why are you worried about all this? It is probably more risky driving the freeways in a RV than worrying about these other things. It is all about the level of risk you want to take based upon factual data. Only you can assess this for yourself.
