  1. Hi Can you tell me the model number of your fridge? Have you looked at the coils in the back of the fridge? If so do you see any signs of a yellowish substance?
  2. Hi The configuration of contactors is tiplical of a forward/reversing for a 3 phase motor. I am not sure but based on your description it sounds like the control board has failed, contactor on my part. This pair on contactors has a mechanical interlock between them to make sure only one is sending power through to the coach. Although some parts can be replaced, I would be leary of just rebuilding only because of the mechanical parts wear with time. If these contactors fail, shore power and generator power could be bucking, or back feeding, If not on the same phase a short. Risking damage to the generator, shore power breaker panel and or fire.
  3. Yes they are under the cover. Make sure to disconnect the power. The 4 switches are about 1" diameter. 2 wire connections each. It sounds like it's the 2 temperature switches associated with the diesel side of the controls. You can go to aqua hot web site and down load the manual. Just need you model number.
  4. Did you check the temperature switches, mounted on the Aqua hot boiler tank? There are 4, 2 for the electric side and 2 for the diesel side. there is a low side when to turn on each and 2 to turn of either of the electric or the diesel.
  5. the only issue that can be causes if the batteries are being drained so low that the charger will be maxed out. Any time you max any device you add undue stress. Find out what capability of your charger and compare it to what your batteries will need at different percentages of charge needed to bring to being full charge. If you plan to change the inverter charger out to meet the demand of the new battery configuration you may what to look at what is available in the market place.
  6. yes you can configure 4 batteries to supply 12 vdc. Series 2 of the batteries and the other 2 batteries in parallel with the other 2 batteries.
  7. You also could use a standard battery charger when running your generator. Did you check the voltage at your battery terminals with the engine off and running? With the engine running it should be around 14 volts.
  8. Did you try your Aqua Hot on Diesel fuel? Do you have more than one zone? do your thermostats have the display on?
  9. the question that comes to mind on the IT-50R is, what was the relays in the switch rated for? In there online manual it states it good for 50 amps. And if you look at the manufacture of the relay it would state how many cycle it was tested for. Typically a power relay can open and close under full load with no problem. as long as the cycle of use are not exceeded. This is not likely in this use.
  10. Typically when you are not using batteries, a battery tender will help you preserve your batteries health. A few years ago I stated to use a battery tender on my motorcycle because it will sit through the winter months. It really works. This may help in preserving your chassis batteries while in storage. If you have a newer inverter/charger it will serve the same function for your house batteries. Making sure the selection of battery type is used when programing the function in the control panel of your inverter/charger. Your coach needs to be hook up to shore power. Typically 2 batteries is sufficient for your chassis power needs. It's main draw is to start and run you engine along with a generator.

  12. Hi Bo, Sorry to hear about the issues with your coach. Do you have the electrical print for how the transfer switch and inverter are tied together? Do you have a sub panel coming off of your inverter? The manual for the transfer switch makes claim it's good for 50 amps. thanks, Vince
  13. Hi I've used Russ Trucking last year. They have an agreement with Tiffin to work on there Motor coaches. If you are in the Northwest, Henderson in Grants Pass is a great place to have work done on the chassis.

  15. Hi Dan, Have you checked underneath of the stove top for screws?
  16. Was that the only item that was drawing power from the inverter?
  17. How is the cap on the points? Do you have the old points? you may want to put the points and cap back in and try checking for a spark.
  18. One of many things to be careful of is on the blower unit. There are 2 tabs that secure the blower/burner unit to the housing of the AH that can be broken very easily. Make sure when you reinstall the blower unit that you hold in firmly in place and you tighten each bolt evenly a little at a time. I would suggest just using a 1/4" ratchet. You will need a long extension.
  19. Yes, it was the Safety Plus Steering. It looks like a shock. The other part of fixing issues with drivability was making changes to the air bag system adding air SuperSteer® Motion Control . From what I can tell these units restrict the air going in an out of the individual air bags. This helped in reducing side sway. All done by Henderson's in Grants Pass Organ. Really great working with the office and the technicians. One more item, that was to have the coach wheel alignment.
  20. Hi Just replaced all the shocks on my 2003 Beaver Marquis from Bilstein to Koni. We were experiencing extreme proposing. What a difference this change made. I am not sure if we were to replace them with Bilstein we would get the same results. there were two other items we added. Steering stabilizer and Supersteer.

A word of caution, anytime you are working with your air bag suspension, don't be under your coach. the whole coach could come down. likely there is not enough room between the floor and your coach. Make sure your coach is supported or over a pit!!! Each axle has 4 air bags except the tag axle. there is one ride height control valve per axle, drive and steering, except the tag does not have a ride height control valve. the tag axle has just a pressure regulator, this is to balance the load distribution. In the picture above is the drive axle. On the right side of the picture is the drive axle differential, the round or ball shape. next to the differential is the connection to ride height control valve. If you follow this connection to the ride height control valve what you see next is a black tubing, this is the single air supply to the axle valve. The green tubing from the ride height valve goes to the air bags for drive axle. the same configuration is also for the steering axle. the colors for the tubing may be different for your coach but the configuration is the same. I would start your coach and let it build air pressure and listen for leaks as you go around your coach. I would not move your coach until you know that it is level. this will cause real drivability issues. Is your coach listing on one side or is it the back or front? Vince Toscano 814.327.0245

Hi Ernie, Is your couch leaning just in the back or the front too? the reason for my question is the front steering axle and drive axle each have a ride height control valve, none on the tag axle. Each ride height control valve has a single air supply. the output from the control valve branches to all the air bags for that axle. you may want to start your engine and see if it will build any air pressure, don't need to move it just run the engine. the picture is the ride height control valve. The valve is attached to the frame and the rod is attached to the axle. Vince Toscano 814.327.0245

HI Ron, It sounds very similar to the one I have in my 2003 Beaver. this is the motor, control box and capacitor. the motor can be checked with out the control box. let me know if this equipment looks the same. Sometimes the capacitor dries up and shorts internally. this effect will be the motor hums but does not move. I should ask if you are hearing any thing when you go to move your tv drop down?   24. Hi Ron, Do you who is the manufacture of the drop down? One item to check is if the motor is 120 vac or is it 12 dc? If the motor is ac it may be the capacitor? Not sure if your has limit switches? Do you know where the control box is? Do you any pictures of the unit? let me know. Vince
