  1. Big thanks to Ivan for helping me out with my PTL door lock mechanism. I came across the picture he took of the internals (above), and messaged him asking if he had video of the movement. Although he didn’t, he was kind enough to make one for me. It saved me from having to cut into the internal door panel to get the door opened. Grateful.
  2. We got ours at Lowes, but had to Dremel the rigid part of the sweep that snaps into the door.
  3. Thanks all. I have it in for some services and they couldn’t open it either. They’re worried about breaking the lid. I’m going to suggest that they check around the edge with a magnet for screws, and if they don’t find any, go ahead and get the pry bar. My latches look different than those pictured above, and there is also a metal ring/handle on top (toward foot of bed) to pull up on.
  4. Hi All, I searched the forum a bit, but couldn’t find anything and I’m hoping someone might be able to help. I can’t lift the under-bed engine access hatch. I see a latch on each side, but after unlocking them it still won’t budge. There are no visible screw heads, but I suppose they could be buried in the carpet. Any guidance is appreciated. (97 Exec, side radiator)
  5. Ray & Rob, thanks for the info, very helpful. 🙏
  6. Thanks all for the welcome messages. Vito, it has the M11 engine. I was searching for that motor, and it found 2 coaches - one was shorter with a slide-out, and the other was longer without a slide (that's what we decided to go with). It's outfitted pretty well, and for the most part all accessories are in good working condition and hopefully will last a while (or at least fail in phases rather than all at once 🙂). It's pretty neat having 3 separate diesel motors sharing a single fuel tank. Oh, and I did manage to swipe an awning arm off at the place where we store it, so going forward my wife will be on a walkie guiding me through a couple of tight spots. Live & learn.
  7. Thought I'd ask here, rather than starting a new topic - Could anyone confirm whether HWH was the air system manufacturer used on all 1997 models? I have a leaky valve that I'm hoping to identify a part number for without removing it (and forcing me to stay in one place). I see the HWH content in the downloads section, but am not sure if it applies to my year/model. I got through to Roadmaster and they couldn't answer. Haven't been able to get through to a live person at Monaco/Rev. Also tried Veurink's, but they didn't have any info either.
  8. Hi All, Just a note to introduce myself and say thanks for all of the great content. We just purchased our first RV after searching for a while; a well cared for 1997 Monaco Executive that we picked up in AZ. It's pretty much original inside, so we'll be gradually remodeling, and as I've been learning about the chassis, this forum has been invaluable. There's so much to learn about operating, maintaining, storing, stocking, and finding destinations...it's a bit overwhelming, but fun at the same time. I can't imagine the experience without the internet. Safe travels.
