  1. Never hired a lawyer for an accident but being told over and over I should. Tore my knee on top of the regular aches and pains from being hit
  2. Thanks everyone, As far as the accident, we were headed north on Hwy 95 about 40 mil out of Hawthorne, where we were stopping for the night. Was driving along and saw 3 semis in a row. The last one came over into our lane to pass the other two. I moved over has fast as I could, hit the gravel and as the truck was going by us the edge pavement must have caught the jeep and we veered out of control and hit the trailer axles head on. It spun us around and snapped the hitch so the jeep came around and stuck the passenger side as well. 2 trucks left, the one that hit us went 1/2 mile and couldn’t go any further as we broke his axles from the frame. Jerk (I’m being nice) never got out of his truck to even see if we were alive.
  3. Just looking for anyone in an S chassis who’s been in or seen one wreaked. I guess it’s your time it’s your time. We are just shook up and wanting to make sure we are trying to keep as safe as we can
  4. Yeah we are looking at 40-42 tag. Kinda our last coach Likewise, I’d think so as well. I’d like to see or talk to anyone first hand.
  5. Our most recent trip, I’m still technically on it, our coach wasn’t of the shop. We had a full schedule of jeeping so hooked it up behind the pickup and rented a house in AZ We totaled the truck last night and now are more serious about a coach, bigger, and safer than our Dip. On the S chassis coaches, who has been or seen one after an accident? There have been some posts here where it looks like the house detached from the frame in an accident with RR chassis Any thoughts? Our nighttime driving days are officially over. thanks for any insight.
  6. Sad to see it go, hope you’re feeling well.
  7. Just ran across this for reference https://www.monacoers.org/topic/2146-ignition-switch-replacement/#comment-16977
  8. Yes, large nut just goes around the whole unit on the back side . Screw it off and disconnect wires. Take it parts store
  9. Yeah it is vintage Chevy. Sorry I don’t have my coach with me. Someone will know more as far as part numbers. I have a Napa one in a drawer if my coach
  10. There is an outfit in Prineville Or that makes them. You can find their Facebook pages as well. Search this site and you will find threads Just found this
  11. I know one user just got back from AK a month or so ago. Let me try and remember who it was 😂
  12. Yeah no rust but does corrode. I have zincs on my aluminum boat for my saltwater salmon trips https://www.corrosionpedia.com/understanding-aluminum-corrosion/2/6954
  13. So my need to stay on topic, I did take the Dip out to the Mech. I kept it at 65/70 on the hwy, and found some solid bumps, Now first impressions are subjective, but I found while the dip did rebound after a bump, the height was about half, and then no subsequent bouncing. (Porpoising) I’ll be able to get more than an hour of driving here in a week or so headed down 395 Also noticed that Source sells these air restrictors as well https://sourcerv.com/valves
  14. I have to agree. Amazon has been sucking for a few years now that I am addicted to shopping online as stores were pretty shelved. Prime used to mean 2 DAYS. Just sell USPS to Amazon and be done with it. 😂 I’ll look into this new company, and report back. I hope this company does help Monaco lovers to save some money.
  15. Yeah there is an outfit in Yuma on South Frontage that advertises heavy. I think for our rigs it is a legit use. Outlast me anyway
  16. If it were me, I’d putty, prime then go talk the bed liner (Rino, Arma) and get a quote to shoot the whole roof.
  17. Thanks for a reasonable answer.
  18. Gotcha, the more green boards the better! Thanks much!
