  1. Thanks to all of you for your patience. You all are why this forum is so helpful and successful.
  2. Ok thank you again Jim! I'll give it a shot.
  3. Thanks Jim for the links. My gut tells me to replace that section of tube because it is coming into the fitting at an angle and is pretty tight plus that green tube disappears into a loom of a bunch of other stuff so I can't really see where it is routed. Do you think by looking at the pics I could put a compression fitting in its place or could I put in a short extension of tube with a inline connector?
  4. Well I tried to find where to download the schematic and I couldn't find it. Can you tell me how to accomplish that?
  5. Thanks Jim I'll look for that schematic.
  6. I did use compression fittings as well when I replaced the dryer.
  7. I'm not exactly sure where it goes to. I think it heads to the front of the coach possibly to the brake system.
  8. I recently changed out the air dryer and knew I had this leak prior but I wanted to change out the dryer first for obvious reasons. The big green tube is leaking air on top of the tank right where it goes into the push fitting because it's at an angle and not straight out for 6 plus inches first before routing. My question would be can I add some tube using an inline connector? Sorry for the duplicate pics
  9. Well I got the new dryer in. It didn't quite take a 10' cheater bar like Frank M. had mentioned in one of my earlier posts but I did need a 2'er to muscle it off. Works fine but now I'll be chasing an air leak (bubble test)coming from up front somewhere around the 2 tanks. One thing I did notice was is if I were to have a blow out on one of the inside duals it would probably take out some air lines because they are really close to the tires. Thanks again to you all for your infinite wisdom and patience.
  10. Ok thanks Ben! I just picked up the new Air Dryer from Freightliner. Identical tag and part number(see pics) and even came with a new filter so now I have an extra filter for the next change out. Will be replacing tomorrow morning.
  11. Yeah I definitely don't want a cheap knockoff. When I talked to the parts guy at Freightliner I specified that I did not want an after market dryer that I wanted OEM. He said it was a Wabco so I guess we'll see what they come up with. How would I know for sure that it is not a knockoff? Have you had any issues with your US built dryer? I've been watching some of the comments on this forum and others that have said they haven't had any issues with knockoffs and some with replacing 2 or 3 aftermarket dryers and even some having issues with OEM dryers. I guess like with anything else we buy anything can happen.

  13. Update: Found and ordered new drier from my local Freightliner dealer. Will be in tommorrow. Also at a great price $427.49. I will post how the replacement progresses.
  14. Yes Ben that is the correct one. Thanks for the info. I'll start here in town at Peterbilt hopefully they'll have one. I'll keep in touch with my progress. Thanks to you all. Your wealth of knowledge is greatly appreciated. Tom, What do you mean by bubble test the system? I'm not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination, I know just enough to get me in trouble so please excuse my ignorance.
  15. Found the tag(4324130010)under who knows how many years of dirt. Am I to assume in order to find a real OEM drier I sould call Wabco?
  16. Should I expect any issues with removing any of the fittings? Pre-soak maybe? Where would be the best place to find an Air Drier?
  17. I have finally gotten to a point where I was able to crawl under my coach(2002 Monaco Knight 34PBD) and remove the air drier filter and oh boy what a mess. Keep in mind the system has been working fine. Dumped air from both tanks with maybe a half of a teaspoon of water discharged. Judging from the pics am I in for further problems? This filter looks like it has never been changed but I can't imagine the po's letting it go that long. I have a new Wabco Coalescing filter. Can I just replace the filter or do you think a new drier is in order. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  18. Perfect John, I'll get one ordered. Thank you for the website.
  19. That would explain why I couldn't find an actual shutoff valve because this coach I think is also only electrically turned off & on. I will give that a try. Thanks Cliff
  20. I'm pretty green on using this site but slowly learning so please bear with me. I was changing out a cooktop burner on/off valve so I thought I should probably try to turn off the main propane valve at the tank as a precaution. Could not find a traditional looking valve similar to what I thought would look like a typical patio BBQ tank valve knob. There is one on the curbside of the tank but there are no gas lines connected to it. The only valve that had any lines to it is the one in the attached pic. So I tried to close it and was a little hard to turn also turned off the round switch next to the red light which is apparently burned out. Finished my cooktop burner on/off valve replacement, opened valve back up(again hard to turn) turned on round switch went inside and tested burner valve and everything worked fine. Yahoo another project completed. Went back underneath to the tank and decided to check that little valve with some soapy solution and sure enough it was leaking, couldn't smell anything but was definitely bubbling. Now I have no idea which way to turn so any ideas would be greatly appreciated...
  21. That's what this coach is equipped with. One of the Po's(there were 5, I'm the 6th owner) installed a Banks system so it does have some power. I purchased this coach 2yrs.ago with 20k miles on it for $20k so it spent most of its life in RV Parks. The Genny only had 225hrs so not much dry camping either. It's had its issues but I'm slowly getting it in shape.
  22. I'm not sure. Is having the 5.9 ISB 24 Valve 300 HP an upgrade?
  23. Yep both tanks right next to each other. One tank had 2 drain valves the other just 1. Why only 1 on the other? This coach has the optional Air over Hydraulic Brakes. Just was curious as to why one of the tanks only had 1 drain valve?
