  1. There may be a relay in the AC system that is stuck in the closed position, causing the fan to run continuously. Come to outdoorbits if you need some tips to replace the faulty relay
  2. Before setting a selling price, research the current market value of your RV. Consider factors like the age, condition, mileage, and any additional features or upgrades your RV may have.
  3. Selling a camper can be straightforward, but it becomes more complex when there's a lien involved. However, if you choose to sell your camper with a lien through a dealership, you can rest easy knowing that they will manage the ownership transfer process while also taking on the responsibility of the lien debt.
  4. If compare two brands, Goodyear might seem like the obvious choice, but once you factor in value for money, Toyo claims the spotlight.
  5. In this Toyo Tires vs. Goodyear face-off, Goodyear seems preferable at first, but for better value, Toyo tires win.
  6. To save your money, you can opt to use a standard paintbrush for painting outside of the camper. But it’s going to take more time and effort to complete the project.
  7. Prepare a smooth face before painting the RV exterior by using a palm sander to remove paint and decals from the vehicle’s surface. Then, use denatured alcohol to remove the grease and oil left behind by the paint and the decal’s adhesive. Don’t rush the process, or you’re going to be more likely than normal to commit costly mistakes.
  8. There is no denying that RV tire covers can contribute a lot to maintaining their good condition for a long time while also improving their overall performance.
  9. I also believe in all that vinyl has to offer. Purchased four Explor Land tire covers for protection from the southern NV heat. Ordered recommended sizes and they fit perfectly. Wrap the tire close to the ground for all-around protection. It's been a year and they're holding up well.
  10. Hardest part was getting this roof air conditioner on the roof of my trailer. It seems a bit smaller so I had to caulk around it for leaking but no issues with the unit at all. It only comes with the AC unit that is on the roof of the trailer and not the vent for the inside.
  11. I upgraded my old ac with this Dometic Brisk air conditioner unit after my journey in Florida. I like the 15,000 BTU version, it works great. Easy installation by pros and a direct replacement for the earlier model while still using the original thermostat and heat pump. Simple, easy, and oh-so-effective cooling!
  12. My RV's bathroom compartment runs the risk of developing a bad odor over time. Additionally, the possibility of the waste getting contaminated by my moving RV exists. Therefore, employing this holding tank treatment to treat my water tank is appropriate.
  13. I have had good success using this Walex BIO-PAK 11530 holding tank treatment on a 30 ft Jayco Travel Trailer black tank for the past 4 years.. The tank contents appears to come out relatively clean and I've never had any odor problems. But I also perform additional cleaning and flushing multiple times a year using Pinesol and Dawn dish soap, and occasionally a couple bags of ice in the black tank while traveling between destinations. So this product works well for me over the past 4 years and I have not had the need to try something else.
  14. Although this RV satellite dish is perfect for DISH’s high-definition programming, it also works splendidly with standard definition channels. However, I must emphasize this product only works with the Western Arc of orbiting satellites. Once can use it for 110, 119, and 129°W DBS.
  15. I bought this DISH Network portable satellite to replace a portable dish antenna that was too small for reliable reception. I was only getting signal levels of 10-25 until I installed the 1000.2 antennae. Now I get 35-70 and have no signal issues at all. I used the cheap analog signal finder to align it.
  16. It is made of strong materials like industrial-grade stainless steel and aluminum, easy to mount and unmount, and very easy to maintain. If you want to have easy and safe travels in your RV, you should totally get this tow bar right now!
  17. Have used this Blue Ox tow bar to tow my 2016 Chevrolet Malibu LX all over the United States. Absolutely no issues. The slider latches are occasionally impossible to release if the towed vehicle is angled anyway. This issue has since been alleviated by a design change in the Blue Ox Alpha II towbar (BX7380).
  18. Replacing an RV Ceiling Light Bulb with a high-intensity or more energy-efficient light bulb. First, you should check your RV’s ceiling light casing. Then, rotate the ceiling light cover counterclockwise to expose the light housing. Remove the screws that secure the casing to the bracket. Pull out the light casing to expose the wiring. Take out the old light bulb, then install the new light bulb. If you have LED lights, you will have to check the wiring diagram to change the RV interior light bulbs. Test your lights by turning them on and off several times, noting their response and other characteristics.
  19. You can try the wet sanding method to remove oxidation from RV decal. Some types of RV oxidation are superficial scratches that give the motorhome a dull and oxidized appearance. For this method, you will need to use sandpaper of different grit sizes. Always start with the coarsest sandpaper (No. 600 or No. 400) and work towards the best grit size (No. 2000) you can get.
  20. Draining fresh water tank on RV. Don’t forget to identify the low point valves, which are usually installed next to the drain valve. There are two low point valves, and they are in charge of emptying hot and cold water in the lines. Releasing the drain valve at the same time as the low point valves are critical for draining excessive fluid from your containers and pipelines.
  21. I replaced a failing converter that was making squeaking noises and dimming the lights with an MBA power converter. This one works great. Pretty straightforward install with no issues. I like this product’s open design, which, together with the cooling fan, ensures more effective heat dissipation. Surprisingly, the cooling fan is almost noiseless. One will never feel annoyed by the loud buzzing sound of some RV converters.
  22. The factory put-in lights in our travel trailer were so dull they were almost pointless; we had to use flashlights. These 921 LED bulbs are amazing. They are super bright, and best of all, they do not get hot, as the bulbs that came in our trailer would get so hot they would heat the ceiling around them. Pictured is the difference between the new and old bulbs.
  23. My 38' motor roof looks like new after a few hours of working with Camco's RV roof cleaner. The cleaner removed aged dirt with ease. Then I put on 2 coats of primer 2 and the roof looks like new! It looks like I tried everything on the market until I found this one. I will stick with it.
  24. Cleaning the RV holder tank sensors can save you the hassle of RVing smelly liquids and human waste. For your gray tank, a regular dishwashing detergent should suffice. However, many RV manufacturers and owners recommend dish soaps that are capable of cutting grease. Oil from your cooking pan can drain into the reservoir and coat your sensors with grease.
  25. Learning how to replace your RV air conditioner gasket can help protect your RV's interior from water damage and contribute to a more comfortable night's sleep. The RV air conditioner has a visor or visor to protect it from flying objects, debris, and other particles. This cover usually has some screws or bolts to secure it to the roof of the RV.
