  1. It’s up there. Same boat as you, I just haven’t been able to access it without dropping the tank. Terrible location. Contemplated cutting in an access hole at one point. 😂
  2. Beauty coach sir. Best of luck with the sale!
  3. When you upgraded the coach lights to LED, did you have to switch around the wiring to make them work? I did. Have you taken any measures with a volt meter at your trailer plug? What I’m getting at is you might have your ground/light wires backwards as a result…polarity sensitive. Re-read your reply….missed that coach was still incandescent. Have you bench tested that strip light? If it’s a cheap Amazon one, they do some weird things and some you need that special adapter for signal/brake lights. Still curious what voltage readings you get at trailer plug for brake/signal/running.
  4. In case anyone is not aware, Cummins has a 20% off sale going on right now with promo code ‘CELEBRATE20’. Only on from March 18-22 I for sure will be getting a new serpentine belt, onan generator maintenance kit and maybe some spare fuel filters among other things. Safe travels everyone!
  5. On my Cayman I found a spare 12v wire in the rats nest under the drivers left side control station (under transmission selection and all the rocker switches). I purchased a few extra rocker switches, an in-line fuse holder and a USB power supply from Amazon, controlled by the new rocker switches in place of the blank fillers. I then cut a notch for the wiring in the cover material of the control station and routed the cable to my tablet and chargers on the left side of the dash. Tablet is for Bluefire, and then a USB female end for whatever else I may need, like for a phone charger or GPS. I’ll be heading over to the Moho this aft and will grab a couple pics to post if you’d like.
  6. You are able to make the spring stronger by adding more tension. I did both of mine for the same reason. Also sprayed some dry graphite lube in the tube to help things move.
  7. Yup. I’d be checking for a leak if you have soot visible. Manifold, flanges and fittings, even all the CAC plumbing. Check it all. If you say it’s only visible on the access cover, I’d be paying most attention to the manifold and EGR plumbing. I spent a small fortune on that side of my rig after a failure in the East Coast of Canada. Wasn’t pretty, or cheap.
  8. I will second what @Tom Cherry stated about the 3M VHB (Very High Bond) tape. Schindler even uses that stuff to secure the interior panelling and trim pieces of their elevators to the structural shell of the cab. It is a very versatile product widely used in many industries and will bond to a multitude of materials.
  9. Hoooly. Hopefully nothing serious. Need to get those codes. Good luck and keep us posted. Are you able to get the codes with the flashing dash lights? I’m able to get the sequence flash codes on my ‘05 Cayman, so surely you will be able to as well. Procedure is in the manual.
  10. Paul, On the homepage near the bottom there is a section in the ‘Classified Ads’ area called ‘Coaches For Sale’. From there you can simply start a new topic the same way you made this one. There will be an option near the bottom to upload accompanying pictures as well. Good luck with the sale! Always like to see what the other members have. 🤤
  11. Best of luck on the sale, Marie. Sounds like a well cared for and well upgraded coach for the next person to appreciate. Have any pictures to post?
  12. Bob, looks like a very well cared for coach. Best of luck with the sale!
  13. RemFlex Gaskets - “If you don’t like ‘em, you haven’t tried ‘em” 😎
  14. My Cayman does this too. Freaks me out. Far as I have read though, it is normal to an extent, but I have seen others posting on here that their windshield has popped out before. 🤷‍♂️
  15. Well that could have been much worse. I’d be quite happy with that outcome. Glad to hear you’re back up and running and I have high hopes for those RemFlex gaskets. I also was unable to source my manifold, Cummins just said keep calling back. Nothing in salvage market either. About 4 months later I kinda lost my temper with one of the support people and that’s when they suggested trying an emergency part order but there would be no guarantee, and it would cost money, So I did, and about 1 months later I got a call my manifold was ready to be picked up, their plant in Texas pulled the casting and made one for me. That was a good day. Cost me I believe 1800 total just for the larger of the 2 piece manifold. Smaller one I was able to source. Crazy. Safe travels and happy holidays!
  16. I looked into doing the EGR delete on my ISB as a means of trying to save some money and time sourcing parts as only re-mans are available for my rig. I believe my reman EGR valve alone cost me 1200 Canadian plus core. 🫣 Unfortunately every mechanic and tuning shop that knew what it would take said it wasn’t possible on my 2005 ISB as the ECM couldn’t be programmed for it - but 2007 and up would be doable. I had called about a dozen or so places and after being turned down for the same reasons from most shops I decided to just replace it and be done with it as I wasn’t sure what to believe. However I also came across two shops that argued quite firmly that my 2005 ISB engine never had an EGR valve or a VGT turbo and that I must be mistaken. I do envy you if you are able to do this on your ‘06 ISM engine. Best of luck!!
  17. @isptbart I should probably mention this as I don’t want to cause you more troubles... If you decide to use the RemFlex gaskets, you will need to do them all. They are much too thick to replace one or two of the OEM ones. Might also suggest getting the set for your engine versus buying a sheet and cutting them out yourself to save money. I tried that, they do not cut worth a d***, so I ended up buying the proper stamped set from their website and basically paying twice. 😡 It’s quite a tough call to make on chancing replacing the two leaking gaskets with OEM, hoping the manifold isn’t warped and the bolts will come out fine or get yourself into the situation I got myself into. This is how warped my manifold was…😭
  18. You should be able to peek in between the gasket and the slide to check the condition of the roller. When I ordered my plates, I made sure that it was a one piece plate to cover from the outside corner to past the first roller on each side of the slide.
  19. Not sure where your fuse is, but are you comfortable with bypassing the float valve with a jumper to see if that clears your alarms?
