  1. https://www.monacocoach.com/library/2006/2006_Dynasty.pdf Our coach is the 42 Countess III, on page 8, Classic Cherry cabs, 77K Miles. Beautiful Brown and Gold paint scheme. Upgraded: Samsung household frig, 1 year old Convection Induction Microwave, New Chassis batteries, 2 New Tag axle tires, 6 Michelin tires, LED lighting, 8 cabin batteries, upgraded inverter, upgraded wiper system. Washer/Dryer combo. Power windshield blind , Aqua Hot. Up graded TV. We have been living comfortably in this coach for 9 years. No Smoke, No pets. We moved into our brand new home, got the coach winterized for storage and on the drive to the storage the engine broke down. See the discussion "Cummins ISL Overhead" in this Forum. You can view the coach at the Spokane Cummins shop Price: Lets talk Thanks, Joel Jacobsen 509 671 0466
  2. Here is the latest. Cummins wants to put in rebuilt engine for $56592. I think that would be a bad move, considering the market value. What I would like to do is sell it "as is" and someone else can put a engine in it. I found an engine at Visionrv for $10K Cummins will not do the install. https://www.monacocoach.com/library/2006/2006_Dynasty.pdf Our coach is the 42 Countess III, on page 8, Classic Cherry cabs, 77K Miles. Upgraded: Samsung household frig, 1 year old Convection Microwave, New Chasis batteries, 2 New Tag axle tires, 6 Michelin tires, LED lighting, 8 cabin batts, upgraded inverter, upgraded wiper system. Engine is Cummins ISL400 The coach is in Spokane, if any one is interested in a project, let me know. Thanks everyone !
  3. Yes, I think this bus may be worth 90 to a 110K at tops.
  4. I am hoping to get photographs early this next week. Cummins does not seem to be a very fast operation here in Spokane. What does the 16K core charge mean? If my cylinder walls are pitted beyond specs that will mean I don't have a core to trade back. Right? I'm going to ask around the neighborhood see if there's a good mechanic I can take with me. I will be calling vizione tomorrow. Thanks
  5. It is a ISL 400. I'm not mechanical and I don't recall ever having the coolant checked for Ph. The first report from Cummins said there was scoring on 4 cylinders. I suppose when they got the sleeves out that is when the cylinder pits were found. I want to get out of RVing due my age. I am just trying to figure out my best option. Get a new engine to sell it, or try sell it as is. Either way I expect to take a beating!
  6. No pictures yet. I have owned the coach for 10 years, no major repairs. I may be able to go down there and see for myself this week.
  7. I wonder what a used engine would cost, and how to find one. A local shop said they could do it for about $6K.
  8. There are pits in the cylinder walls of the block itself, so they are saying that they can't put new sleeves in.
  9. So now Cummins is telling me the whole engine needs replaced. They say the cylinder walls are pitted to such a degree that they can't be bored out. Now I am waiting for a new engine cost estimate. This was going to be our last year with the coach. So now the question is: What should I do? Put in a new engine and sell it, or try and sell it as is. Suggestions?
  10. I asked the Cummins Service guy and he didn't think there is a connection between using the C-brake and the fact that the valve went bad. Cummins said sometimes parts just go bad and break. Its been a tough couple of weeks! Thanks for all your feedback,
  11. A couple of weeks ago, right after disengaging my C-Brake, a valve malfunctioned causing damage to the #5 Piston, cylinder wall, and the turbo. Is there a possible connection? Thanks for a reply. Joel
  12. Wet batteries. And they are older, so ..... ?? Thank you
  13. Thanks a lot! I really appreciate all of your input. We are going to be putting the coach into a Fully enclosed barn with a concrete floor and no power. We will have the coach fully winterized before storing it and I will disconnect the House and chasis batteries. If This does not work, I will be back online with more questions ! Thanks again. Joel
  14. We do have shore power if left outdoors. A local indoor storage facility is available. But no electricity
  15. We are moving out of the coach for winter, do we need to find covered storage, or will it be OK outdoors? Do we need electricity? We are in the Spokane area, It snows and gets cold. Thanks for hyour advice.
