  1. I installed (6) - Good Year G670 RV in that size last September for $4,100. Great smooth riding tire thus far on our 2001 40' Beaver Patriot. Date code was 3 months old at the time so I was happy with that also.
  2. I wanted to do a update so maybe it will help others in the future, sorry it's a bit long. About a month ago when getting ready to go racing with our coach I turned on the coach panel monitor to watch the fresh water level as I was filling the fresh tank I noted the Xanbus SCP (System Control Panel) for my Xantrex SW2012 was blank (no power). I went into diagnostic mode to see what was up and eventually decided in my mind it had to be the SCP itself as the SW2012 was acting erratic if plugged into shore power and reading in the Xantrex manual that it must have both terminator ports on the unit plugged or one terminator and the SCP plugged in (which I had), this lead me to believe my SCP died. At the time I figured out if it was not plugged into shore power the generator still charged and the race trip is a boon-docking trip anyway so we would rely solely on the generator and 12 volt power so our weekend trip went as planned. I ordered in a new SCP and plugged it in when back home and it didn't come on, I sent it back and figured it was the SW2012 so I found one that was listed as "NEW" on ebay from a seller that claimed he bought it new and kept it as a spare, it was a SW3012 slightly larger than my SW2012 but same hook up ect. In it went and my SCP still didn't work! At this point I should have known what the cause was as I found a 20' phone cable in the house and pulled the SCP out of the coach and plugged it directly in to the SW3012 in the belly of the coach and bingo the SCP worked, however the charging function on the SW3012 I just installed would not work and also NO power in the coach. This lead me to checking every wire connection I could, fuses, breakers , ect. Finally after all this I decided it was my automatic transfer switch so I ordered up a new switch and a week later when in I was in the same situation with NO charge and no coach power. At this point I had a revelation, this "new" SW3012 must have an issue? I spent an hour and changed it out for my original SW2012 and now the coach is 100% good again, that darn phone cable somehow went bad and I may or may not have a fight with ebay and the seller on getting that $$$ back on a supposed NEW SW3012, time will tell on that one as I usually never buy anything electrical on ebay and only did in this situation as the price seemed good and the listing was "NEW" but unfortunately from a private seller.
  3. Agreed, thinking back when I was messing with the SCP the other day I vaguely remember seeing Generator and "Enable" or "Disable" so must have it enabled, just didn't think it did that as on the SCP window I remember see battery voltage at 11.9v. Will confirm later today. Thank you. Keith
  4. I don't know whether to go buy a lottery ticket or hide in bed all day? This morning when I walk out to go to work at 5:30am my 7500 Onan in our Beaver Patriot is idling away? I just replaced the Xantrex SW2012 with a SW3012 which has the same wiring and I am running a Xanbus SCP (809-0921) to control, it is not suppose to start the generator as you are suppose to piggy back the Xantrex Generator Starter with the SCP to do that from what I read, maybe I am wrong? I have been troubleshooting my Esco 50amp power transfer switch as it is showing signs of failure so being it is probably old as my 2001 Beaver I plan on ordering one today. Any thoughts what happened?
  5. When I was doing my research as I noted above this is the website to check out along with the forums on this site. I read that this Roger Berke is the guy to talk to and also has parts. http://rvhydronicheaterrepair.com/ I watched a few video's and the annual service for the fuel nozzle replacement, cleaning of the combustion chamber and fuel filter replacement looks pretty simple, we have owned our Beaver since March and I figure I will do the service soon as it was about a year ago the former owner did the service and had a new Aqua Hot control board installed, The diesel portion works like clock work (knock on wood) and just learning how the electric part works with our particular system. For our system I found the .35 nozzle and filter readily available on Amazon.
  6. I found this out over the weekend in our 2001 Patriot after finally getting a 50 amp cord set up, the electric works and takes 1-2 or even 3 hours depending on how big your heat transfer tank is as they can range from 3 to 12 gallons. After 2 hours and a little bit of heat I figured something was up with our Hydro Hot as I can flip on the diesel switch solely and have heat blowing within 20 minutes, after a bit of reading the owners manual and on the web the electric should be flipped on along with the diesel and only relied upon to supplement the diesel so it doesn't have to work as much, or on only after the diesel has done the initial heating. That said it said the electric will not stay up with big water (shower) or heating demands.
  7. Mike is who I spoke with when I ordered all my stuff and he knows his stuff, sounded like they had a lot of new old stock of parts there. Good Luck!
  8. Have you tried Beaver Sales & Service in Bend Oregon? (855)-478-1470 They are located were they built our Beavers. A couple months ago I emailed them just to see if they had dash vent bezels, a lighted entry grab bar with "Beaver" on it, windshield vents and a few other odds and ends, they had it ALL and within a week I had a box of parts all exact to my 2001 Patriot. Keith
  9. On our 2001 Beaver Patriot, key in run position with motor off takes between 60-90 seconds as I dump to 40-50 as well, Just re-graveled the area by our house so it sits nice low and level.
