  1. I had that once. I looked all over. It turned out it was urine. Somebody was living up under my coach in the year and would come out on the door. Try a few mothballs.
  2. Its under that shelf and all the way to the far side. Tnx I like what you did cutting out the access holes. It’s what I was thinking. I was going to do myself. I had that motor rebuilt three years ago. Unfortunately I wasn’t around to see how the mechanic got the motor out. I had to work. But I am considering doing exactly what you did in that picture with both those cut outs and you could see the motor. That is probably my answer. I do thank you.
  3. Hi Folks I have an issue that I feel one of you will have the answer, or a great suggestion. My bedroom slide appears to be in a little too tight. The result being the motor is bound up and will not open. The manual says to just take the bolt out of the motor shaft. Supposedly one can just push it open or closed. This motor is under the bed. When you lift the bed there is a box that you find the motor in. The issue is there is a top on the portion of the box covering the motor. I cannot figure out how to get to the motor. I dont understand. I have had the motor rebuilt before, so I know its possible but I just cant seem to figure it out. I am at the point where I am going to cut an access hole. Any other solutions out there?
  4. I just had the same problem with my bedroom slide. Mechanic came, lifted the bed, hit the motor with a few taps from his trusty hammer. Presto it worked, two hundred dollars.......and thank you!
  5. Point of information, are the bulbs incandescent? I tried to switch all of my bulbs to LED but they will not work for directionals. Something with the fact that they do not draw enough current to trip the flash mechanism. Just saying.
  6. The 4 way flasher has its own fuse. Mine is in the outside front compartment in one of the smaller fuse boxes. The black boxes have a diagram marking where the different fuses are and their amp. Thats where mine is and I have a 2002 Diplomat.
  7. Dont forget to look at the fuse. There is a seperate fuse for the 4 way.
  8. Really I drove rigs for years. From car carriers to oil tankers. It works just hold down brake hard enough to use up a decent amount of air.
  9. I thought i had an air leak. Parking, after the brakes set I would hear it while setting up. Then I got suspicious. So I did a basic brake test every tractor trailer driver does every day. I released the parking brake with engine runnng but in neutral. Then I pressed the brake pretty hard, you need to use up 20-25/lbs and HOLD. Watch your air gauge. If after a short wait you start building air not loosing it you dont have an air leak in your brakes. Mine turned out to be the air bags bleeding off as coach settled down on jacks. Good luck!
  10. Thank you gentlemen. I have a plan and an understanding which I did not have prior. Be well and safe.
  11. Thank you all for the help, I just want to explain where I was coming from. OK so the Monaco installed heater has a dial on the front that I thought was to set "How Hot' before it shut off and it would work through the Bosch relay and yes power would stay on until the switch was turned off. I wanted to do away with any kind of external thermostat. Example I have a small standalone ac powered ceramic heater. I was in my coach Christmas week and the temps were 18 at night and 28 during the day. I put this ceramic heater in the water bay, plugged it in and let it run. It had a dial to set how hot. I used it for a week, never touched it. I was hoping with a small modification I could do the same thing with the heater that is currently installed which is 12v. I would only be using the heater while plugged in or on generator. Does any of that make sense or should I just pull out the factory and use the portable which is about the same size? I do thank all of you for taking the time.....I am not that good with electronics.
  12. EDIT…. Gentlemen and other members….please do a little research and use the search box. This is the second new topic that was merged with a very informative and recent topic that should answer all the questions. Your help is appreciated…End of Edit Hi Monacoers, it appears that my snap disk does not work. I opened up the Monaco Parts List and looked up the Bay Heater. I found alot of good info and have a couple of questions, if I may. After reading the information about the failures rate I began to think I would rather just set it up to go on and off when I hit the power switch on my panel. I noticed in the information on page 144 about "snap disc" in the last sentence. It says, "if you install a heater with NO Thermostat or On or Trigger Circuit, you MUST put in a Bosch type relay to provide power to the relay. The Bosch 87 Relay is doing the switching." 1- Can I remove the snap disk and install the relay and be good to go? 2- If yes where would this relay be installed? 3- Would the system be safe to use? I would assume that it is protected with a fused circuit. Correct? Thank you in advance for your time and expertise.
  13. Thank you! Great info and suggestion. I do appreciate the assistance.
  14. My heater is in good condition. My concern is the thematically controlled switch that controls it. I don't know what it looks like or how to test it. Once the temp is in the 20's and it did not turn on the heater its too late. There must be a way of testing it......I would think.
  15. EDIT….. There was an Extensive Topic that is still current on how to test and also how to fix this problem. Rather than have folks repeat past posts, this topic is merged with that topic. End of EDIT Good morning Monacoers, I appreciate this forum. Might anyone know this answer? I have a 2002 Monaco Diplomat that came with a Cold Weather Pkg. Therefore I have a ceramic heater in the bay that has a thematically controlled activation if I turn on the switch on the panel. Problem is that it seems that it is sporadic. Might one of you know where that thermo switch is located and what does it look like?? Also is there a way of testing it??
  16. Thank you very much Scotty as well as the other members who offered their assistance. I will follow up with this lead. The cupholder I got from you is perfect. I assume that the only thing I will need to do to the pass side cup holder is adapt the shade switch. Shouldnt be a problem. Great! Thanks again!
  17. Thank you gentlemen. The armrest I referred to was in the pilot area. They are built in armrests and the cup folder from the manufacturer fits into the arerest but is very shallow. I bought an aftermarket on this forum which was identifal to the original cup holder except it was almost twice as deep and accomodated the Yeti travel cup.
  18. Last year I bought a deep armrest cup holder on this forum. Well my wife and I received Yeti Cups from our daughter. Now my wife wants her own deep cup holder. Any of you folks know where I can find one or does anyone have one to sell. As usual I thank all of you for all of your help, tips and information.
  19. Oh ok I was thinking cause it is actually on outside of coach. Thanks!
  20. Hi Folks, just a quick question. Traveling to Florida for holidays and the weather in the Panhandle is going to be in the low 30=20 range. Can I put water back into my hotwater heater and just keep it on for a week so it doesnt freeze?
  21. Thanks Jim! Yup there it was. How does that saying go? Start with the simplest solution dum dum. 😂
  22. Thank you all for your responses. Both my switches are good so I guess its probably a fuse. Well thats where I will start. I thought maybe it needed the lights to be on or something. Thanks again!
  23. Ok so this is probably going to give you talented folks a chuckle but here goes. I cannot figure out how to get my storage bay lights to go on. I remember replacing all of the bulbs and they all worked well: so today I tried to turn them on. There is a switch by pass seat with an indicaror light. There is another in the wet bay. Nothing. I do kinda remember there was something else that needed to be done. I tried having the marker lights on. I tried turning the headlight switch to light the map lights. Nothing. Can someone give me a clue?
  24. Hi All so some how one of my retraction springs came off one of the rear stantions. I found it on the ground under the coach. I have no idea how it came off or for that matter how to reinstall it. Do I need a spring spreader?
