Oil leak possibly Dip stick
donbouv22 replied to Georgia Mike's topic in Engine, Transmission, Engine Cooling, & Hydraulics
I’ve had this problem too. If you don’t get the dipstick down tight it’ll blow off and soak your engine compartment, rear engine cover and tow vehicle. I fought it on a road trip and finally used a couple of cable ties to hold it in place, but it’s only a temporary fix. When I got home I got a new dipstick and it’s been fine. Anytime you check your oil always drive a few miles and make sure that dipstick is still tight. It happened to a buddy’s coach, too. -
If it’s a Cummins there is a Cummins shop in Houston.

On my ‘05 Navigator it’s in the engine bay on the right, behind the taillights. -
New to me last Sept 2005 HR Nav Zero air on passenger side
donbouv22 replied to Rboss22's topic in Compressed Air Systems
Hi Bob, I’m Don, I’ve got an ‘05 HR Nav, too. I had an issue with my airbags letting air out of the right side when parked for more than a week. I believe there is a valve that separates the 2 sides and my mechanic changed it out and I’ve not had the problem since. You might have the same problem. As far as the gages, the air IS the left one, the right one is your turbo boost pressure. Keep an eye on the right one while climbing grades. Don’t let it peg, ask me how I know…I blew the turbo boot cover off mine in N. Idaho and had to get towed. Don’t do that either…I’ve had mine almost 4 years and have had lots of issues, but lots of fun, too. If you want send me a text 925-784-5165. I’m in NorCal. -
The vacuum pump should be real close to that bulb. I had to replace mine awhile ago, I had no heat or defrost up front, that fixed it. Good luck!

Does anyone know of a “hood scoop” kind of air deflector that would fit the air intake?

This happened to me right after I installed LED’s. I didn’t even notice, a buddy I was traveling with let me know. So I went back to stock halogen’s.

fog light assembly to match original
donbouv22 replied to Denny Wagaman's topic in For Sale: Parts, Components, & Accessories
It is probably not the same fog light, but I was killing time one day and took the old one to a few auto parts stores in town. To my surprise, my local Napa had the light! I still have to wire it up, but a stock (looking) light is great! DonHRNav ‘05 -
We have a Netgear Nighthawk. Check them out. We were both able to work on our laptops from the road last summer. Just need cell towers. It worked for us.

That’s a very good deal I think I paid $390.

Mike, Thanks for the info. This is a job that needs to be performed on my ‘05 Navigator as well, but I need rotors. Do you know where I can find them & a p/n perhaps? Are all Navigators that year the same? I’ve got a 500 ISM 43PBQ. Thank you! Don

I need the same thing for my ‘05 Navigator. I’ll check with out REV, too, thanks!

I did my 45’ Housecar Class B non-commercial license in (not so) beautiful Stockton, CA. after chillin’ with the homeless down by the river. One commenter was correct, the answer is, just move out of CA. Don Thames ‘05 HR Navigator 43PBQ

I haven’t heard a thing about a diesel shortage, but then again, I haven’t paid attention to the media in over 2 years.

That’s about the time I put my Tuba on the pic-a-nic table and crank up the Polka music!

Thank you Tony, I’m just over the hill in Livermore, so I’ll keep his contact info. Randy, of Randy’s Mobile RV repair is excellent, too, he’s in Concord, Ca 925-519-0766. If anyone is up that way.

2002 Dynasty Electric Flush Toilet Manufacturer?
donbouv22 replied to Patrick's topic in Water Systems
Hi Patrick, I ran into a similar problem in January, the valve on my Sealand Opus 3110 (if I remember correctly) was stuck in the open position. Turns out the board in the back of the toilet was bad. There is a guy named Paul Whittle that responded to my plea on iRV2, he actually made the boards, same one as in his Signature. Check him out. donbouv 2005 HR Navigator 43 PBQ
