  1. Thank you Tom for the response and information. Yes I called and talked to Lippert and were helpful. I also saw their videos and reviewed them. I am adjusting there vertical correctly my issues is that I have no more adjustment left and still off by 1/2". I need to be able to lower the adjustment which will close the distance between the measurement at the side of the coach vs the end of the extended slide. I asked them do I make the adjustment with the slide completely extended or partially retracted as I thought that might make a difference in the measurements. They said with slide completely extended. With that said, I am going to try the exercise with slide partially closed by maybe half and see what it looks like. Thank you for Chris's contact information . His reputation is highly praised.
  2. Hello Friends. Before I start I have looked in the site for this and couldn't find it and second, I have read the manual as well as the information specific from Lippert for this and talked to their tech as well. Our 2013 Diplomat 43DFT with tag has a whole side super slide that is 25' wide. I am trying to adjust the vertical adjustment on it to get to the correct measurement of no more than a 1/4" difference between the two points specified. My amounts are a full inch different. At the side of the coach the distance between the main support and the bottom of the slide is 3" and the measurement at the outside between the support beam and bottom of slide is 4". The adjust is for vertical and can only be adjusted at the slide face where there are lock nuts and adjustment screws. You can raise or lower your slide to get to the correct amount of not more than 1/4" at both points. On my slide, there are 3 such adjustment points. I have lowered the adjustment screws to the stops on all 3 points and lock them in place and can only get the slide to be within 3/4" of an inch meaning I am out of adjustment by 1/2" minimally. This is most likely unique to this specific slide model ( which I cannot identify other than it is in fact a Lippert through frame hydraulic level floor slide mechanism) and or Monaco Diplomat mode. If anyone on this awesome forum has or coach and have tried to make this adjustment work, please let me know what you found to be the answer.
  3. Tom you response was so well written I can really visualize the process. I will take pics and send in for giggles. By the way and I should have mentioned that when we bought the coach, this whole side slide was missing the slide topper. I think it was torn off by previous owner when he drove off and didn't retract the slide. It appears thats the case. Before replacing the topper with new, I got up on the slide and the top membrane had numerous holes in the top allowing water to get into the top of the slide. I replaced the entire top of the slide first and used Eterna Bond on all seams and corners. Then replaced the slide topper with new material. Turned out great and no leaks anywhere. I also checked the other slides and they are all tight and dry and in good shape. Previous owner was elderly and was told his first coach ever and it was too much for him. Coach is in great shape but I have had to make many repairs to things he neglected and damage he did to things.
  4. Thank you everyone. Great information. Our floor that rotted is the 3/4" inch plywood floor the rollers run on. I cut out a bigger piece and replaced so the coach would be solid but could'nt under the 4 to 6" piece that was under the sidewall. When I roll in the slide sometimes small pieces of plywood chips are dragged in. If I can get access to this my plan was to repair with a wood epoxy made for this purpose so the guardian plates would have something to attach to. I will get some pics to share. Many thanks everyone.
  5. Hello Friends. Our coach is a 2013 Diplomat 43 DFT. Driver side slide is a 25' super slide. It's huge. We have had the coach for 3 years. Found under the jack knife sofa which is right behind the drivers seat and the very front corner of the slide had water damage and a section of the floor has rot. Roughly a foot wide section that is all crumbly. If I want to go with Guardian Plates, do I have to first fix that rotted section or will the plates cover up that section. The rest of the entire slide is solid and we fixed the leak so no further damage.
  6. Hello everyone. New to forum. On our new to us 2013 Monaco Diplomat 43DFT coach, the previous owner damaged the chrome exhaust tip pretty bad. Looks awful. If I want to replace with a new unit, does one exist? The chrome piece is 6" and is welded onto a strange cast iron fitting and then that all clamps onto the exhaust pipe.
