  1. All agreed I don’t need one yet but if these manifolds are getting harder to find then the only real goal would be to make a header style that would replace a unusable one. seems there are still options out there for replacements for 5.9’s but the OP hasn’t found one with a EGR outlet. i just started to look into it since at some point I might need one or two but ours are for pretty basic 8.3’s with just the turbo outlet. all good learning and great inputs on this forum. cheers
  2. I sent a message to service@thoroughbreddiesel.com as I found they were making headers. this am they replied We recently received your question regarding a product on our site, "Have you ever made a header for Cummins 8.9 300 HP turbo for use in a Motor Home?I’m sure with the right details and specs it should be possible Thank you", and our team has reviewed your request. No offering for a Motorhome yet. Having said that I searched and found https://powerdrivendiesel.com/ phone 435-962-9555 might be worth the call cheers
  3. Perhaps a little off topic but I’m wondering if anyone has ever made a manifold as we make custom headers for gas car engines that deal with turbo chargers so not sure about diesel? ( I guess I should watch more Diesel Brothers shows) i think there could be higher temperatures involved than for gas but a lot of header wrap would absorb a lot of that heat. as our rigs get older I might have this same issue in the future. I now Dad had to have the one replaced on the 97 about 12-15 years old at that time. Cant recall if it was cracked or just warped but he had a replacement part from Cummins installed and a new turbo as well.
  4. Wow certainly looks good. Wish I was ready for that but hopefully next year cheers
  5. Ivan could you post the code for that white if possible? thank you
  6. Thank you Ken and if you do find the code it would still be nice to add to see. cheers
  7. Thank you all for the comments and suggestions. It still surprises me that nobody seems to have the code for what was called Corvette white that Monaco was using at least for a few years around 1995 - 1999 From some Corvette websites I can see that GM used a WA 9567 from 1989-2000 so I’m going to see it that match’s up with a computer shot of the Fridge side panel. Im capable of doing my own spraying and have a good gun so will have a go at it in the spring. most Body / paint shops are so busy and don’t seem to like RV’s or at least that’s how it seems around here and if they will do it the prices seem pretty steep for the little jobs. cheers and thanks again
  8. Thanks and I have had the electronic match before on other vehicles but if codes are available As well as the formulas to mix them it’s usually a better match. i checked under the seats on the 97 but nothing that I could find. hopefully someone will post something on the corvette white thks all. This is a great source of information. cheers
  9. I’ll go take a look but I thought that was on some newer models. Same with Rev but it’s worth the phone call Thks for the quick reply
  10. Recently there was a question looking for the Code for “Corvette White” for a 99 Executive. I was sure that I had the code in the records for my Dads 97 Dynasty or our 95 Dynasty but as it turns out nothing recorded for the base white just the trims.I’m sure someone must have the codes for these older Coaches so thought we’d start a thread and see what might show up.Thanks in advance
  11. Jim Bob thank you so much for getting that picture. Clearly now to me that’s the same return line that we had split a few years back so it’s highly probable that it’s cracked again further down like yours did. It does surprise me however that it would cause the issue without leaking. On my 95 I have to change a check valve on the steel part of that line at the banjo fitting. the diesel injection shop that sold me the replacement said that they need around 15-20 lbs before they open and then the fuel gets returned to the tank. So much that one doesn’t know but I guess I should check that valve on our 97 as if it’s stuck open and that line is cracked or split then I guess that air could make its way back to the injection pump but now I’m just guessing. Still not hard or very expensive parts once again many thanks
  12. I wouldn’t call that a derailment at all. I found this information about the Wynn system some time ago just don’t recall where it came from but happy to pass it on. hope it helps. cheers
  13. Thanks for these replies and ideas. i did change the fuel shutoff a little while ago but not related to this issue jim bob you mention a cracked line so I’m wondering if you recall where that was and what type of line. And Blue Steel since you said a clamp do you recall where that was. we had the return line hose split a couple years ago close to the injection pump return outlet so it was a easy fix sine there was enough hose to cut out the split. That hose is the only connection that I’m aware of that used a hose clamp. time to open up the tank side panels I guess and start a detailed trace. Funny thing is like Jim Bob I’ve found no fuel leaks anywhere at this point. When that return line split it spewed fuel all out the back and over the toad so easy to spot that one. thanks again. Lots of great info and help here.
  14. Our 97 Dynasty sometimes seems to loose its prime and have to use the electric Wynn purge system to get it re primed and running. it only does it after it sits for some time. Could be 2-3 days could be weeks . i just changed out both fuel filters as well as new O rings in the Wynn filter system but it still happens. not sure if there is a check valve built into the engine driven lift pump but was think I’d get a new one soon anyways. 8.3 Cummins with the Mechnical injection pump. thought someone might have an idea. cheers
  15. Don thanks for that as well. I have a Donaldson to put on but I’ll loose the original lower water cup sensor and water purge system. Least I’m not stuck without. While I didn’t cut the racor open to inspect it it certainly drained out very clean so I guess one could reuse it for a while if it sealed back up ok. cheers
