Bad place on roof cap at the rear
Floyd4949 replied to Dragracer's topic in General Motorhome Discussion
Something like this will work for metal. You may have to get creative with "pull point" attachment. Maybe expanding molly or riv nut. A little more creativity would be required for fiberglass. https://www.harborfreight.com/slide-hammer-and-puller-set-14-piece-56894.html?ccdenc=eyJjb2RlIjoiNzA0ODQ5ODYiLCJza3UiOiI1Njg5NCIsImlzIjoiMjUuNDkifQ%3D%3D&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=20938164463&campaignid=20938164463&utm_content=160638356594&adsetid=160638356594&product=56894&store=&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAqY6tBhAtEiwAHeRopQ3FuQQbipF0yh2LsywRSWXTxOk9dmGtkK7ehA4rzlre1wH9iAEWpxoCe3gQAvD_BwE -

Upgraded Patio Light Install
Floyd4949 replied to Floyd4949's topic in Body, Awning, Roof, Slides, & Steps
Thanks. Do you have an idea on the aprox. thickness of the outer surface (fiberglass / luan)? I have not yet removed the existing light and that answer may become obvious once I do. Regards, John -
I wish to install an upgraded (longer / larger) 12v patio light and am unsure about how to proceed as new mounting holes will be required. It will be mounted in place of the OEM patio light. I'm unsure about the composition / thickness of the exterior side walls on my 2003 HR Neptune. Any advise as to what mounting hardware to use would be appreciated. I'm considering some sort of expanding molly. Below is a link to the light I've purchased. Thanks, John https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089NMFRMX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Remote Oil filter
Floyd4949 replied to snoracer's topic in Engine, Transmission, Engine Cooling, & Hydraulics
I use this along with a 12" long, 1/2" socket drive extension. It allows me to easily "relocate" my filter to the garage floor😊 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08LT64XB1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -
Correct... ↑ is the one that worked for me. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000C9SAJC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Hi Carey, Thanks again to you and your family for taking on this obviously popular project. Just out of curiosity... how many covers did the kids print and ship? How about a "guess how many beans in the jar" contest ($5 per guess??) as an addition to their fundraising efforts. You could offer the winner a hearty thanks and a virtual "high five". I think it would be fun!!! I'll watch for your reply and jump in @ Venmo if you wanna do it. Regards, John

Hi Carey, I received and installed my weep hole covers during the hectic holiday season. Now that things have returned to normal I want to take the time to express my sincere thanks to you and your family for all the time spent on this great project. I really enjoyed the thank you cards from the kids. The covers look great, fit perfect, and installed easily as per your instructions. Happy New Year to you and your family! Regards, John

I would be thrilled to purchase (14) right side and (14) left side covers as they become available. Please put me on the list! Thanks and Merry Christmas, Regards, John

NO... Amazon referenced light is 120V. You need a 12V light. I used this light from Grainger: Flush Indicator Light Red 12V Item #: 20C840

2003 Neptune propane indicator lamp / solenoid issue
Floyd4949 replied to Floyd4949's topic in LP Gas Systems
Tom Thank you for the in-depth reply / explanation and for the time spent composing it. VERY helpful... I understand what is involved in diagnosing and solving my problem. Regards, John FIXED!!! I finally found the blown fuse shunting power to the LP solenoid. It is fuse #6 in the front distribution panel, located roadside forward of front wheel. Labeled "Service Lights" I hope this helps saves someone the time it took me to find it (after testing fuses in 3 different boxes). Regards, John -

2003 Neptune propane indicator lamp / solenoid issue
Floyd4949 replied to Floyd4949's topic in LP Gas Systems
You are correct... I bought the wrong light. Oops. Could you comment as to why the tank switch no longer opens / closes the tank solenoid? Any suggestions re. solution. We have a trip planned this weekend and it's getting cold in Ohio! -

I purchased this light in an attempt to fix the "no indicator light" problem". My solenoid was working but no light. I removed old lamp and replace with this and still no light. Solenoid worked. In an attempt to get light to work, I reversed wires and still no light but... now solenoid will not activate. No sound from solenoid and, of course, no gas in coach. I tried jumping wires to lamp together in an attempt to bypass but nothing. Could I have blown a fuse re. solenoid? Searched manuals but cannot find where this fuse may be. Any ideas. Thanks, John
