bradc344
Hello I posted earlier about my problem with my ac/heater fan not working at all I put in a new resistor and it will work on high only not sur what to replace now the switch is all so new do you think replacing the fan motor would help? I had it out and it turned freely any ideas thanks Brad
Cubflyer
My experience with those fan motors is that the speed that they run at (low, Med, Hi) is controlled with the resistor by changing the voltage supplied to the motor. So, my guess here is that the problem is in the circuit, not the fan motor.
klcdenver
Did you match the number of terminals and orientation to the old resistor. Some times they are not the same but the plug will still fit the resistor. But usually when you have only high it is the resistor. Pull it out and see if one of the coils have burnt into.
Keamyinc
Hi Brad, I’m wondering if you ever got your fan working on all settings? I have the same problem and need to attack it. I’m wondering what you found out that you can share. Thanks Don
