Dennis H Posted April 11, 2020 Share Posted April 11, 2020 Andy, since no one has responded yet, I'll give you my opinion on filters. Others may agree or disagree. Based on my experience WIX filters are the best. You'll also find Fleetguard, Baldwin and Donaldson. Whatever one you choose, just make sure you purchase from a reputable source as there are many counterfeits available. That said, WIX started in the USA but now has filters made in several different countries including China. All their spin filters are Made in the USA. If looking at a cartridge filter, I'd specify USA Mexico or South Korea only. NAPA filters are made for them by WIX. As for the actual part numbers for the 8.1L Vortec 8100 Engine, I could only look them up on Google, something you can do for yourself.
