An RVers Technology Dream!

Recommended Posts

Below is a YouTube video link to a 10-minute video describing 5 High Tech items this person installed on his 5th Wheel for working remotely in boondocking situations.

This guy has really done his homework by installing some really useful equipment at a very reasonable cost.

This is well worth the 10 minutes.

I found this on today's RVTravel Tip for the Day Newsletter.

I love his ideas, especially the MOFI 4500 SIM Card Router. Being able to get loads of data, and no throttling sounds very attractive.

Has anyone else tried this router? If so, how did you like it?

Thanks,

Bill

We have been using the Mofi 4500 for about 2 years. Since we “pipe in sunshine” at home we installed large yogi antennas to get internet and after many trials…and errors, we currently have a Cricket data plan with 100G per month ($55). It is serving our purpose. While we travelled we almost ALWAYS had better signal then here at home. A few times we had to use the Omni directional antenna that we mounted on a telescoping flag pole to increase our signal but mostly we just the paddles that come with the Mofi router.
