Furron 15,500. BTU ac. In place of penguin 2

Recommended Posts

Has anyone changed out there domestic penguin 2 two Furron chill 15,500. I have three penguin 2 that are over twenty years old on my Monaco Signature. One is starting to give me trouble they 13,500 I was thinking going there chill units there more BTU energy efficient. Plus the extra BTU would cool quickly and easy. I know there is deference in height. But will work on Monaco have the drain that run through the wall. Hopefully some one can be of help

thanks

I read about a brand that advertised whisper quiet 15,000 BTU operation and a drop in replacement.  Can't remember the name . . . . Advent?

Whatever it was it wasn't compatible with the Dometic thermostat.  It comes with a remote for control.

That's the one.  Somebody had bought one and was raving about it.  Plus, I'll take quiet any day.  Whether it'll last 20 yrs . . . . the manufacturer seems to think so.

Having had experience of some of Furrions other products, and If they are as reliable as their cooker tops and ovens, I would give them a miss!
