2006 Dynasty Frosted Glass Puck Light Lens

Recommended Posts

Moderator EDIT.  Added MH Specific 2006 Dynasty

Does anyone have a source for the 3 1/8 inch Frosted Glass Lens used in the ceiling of a 2006 Dynasty?

These are flush mounted lights that hold a 20 watt 2 pin Halogen Bulb.

I have one that is chipped and would like to replace it plus have a spare or two on hand.

Thanks!

Richard,

I purchased a couple of the lights with frosted lens at a surplus place in Goshen, IN a couple of years ago. Afraid I do not recall the name of the place.

Richard,

Does your light look like the one in the attached image? If so, it is a 3” ITC RV LUMINAIRE VR overhead light from ITC RV.

Entire fixture: 81229 (specify standard clip-in, spring, or screw mounting)

Replacement lens: 81230-LENS.

A year ago, February, I purchased several complete fixtures on sale for $12.01 each plus freight.

I got these led bulbs on Amazon. The guys at M&M have a bunch of these used ones if you’re interested. This shop has a ton of old and new stuff . I say give them a call on stuff you can’t find they might just have it. M&M coach specialist Victorville ca. 909-627-6000. Full disclosure this is my go to place for everything on my RV.

They can be found on the parts list.  That list can be downloaded from the download section.

Chuck, that was the very first place I looked. Unfortunately, the website listing the item I need is no longer in service and returns an error. I tired various versions of the address with no joy.

Still looking but the post referencing the ones from ITC by Scott look exactly like what I am looking for.

I plan to call them tomorrow.

I bought these 3" light and cover and fit our 2009 Beaver:

https://www.amazon.com/ITC-81230-NS-Round-Halogen-Light/dp/B00OA9SFVI/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2W2E0I8BH52KN&keywords=ITC+81230-NS+RV%2FAuto+Round+Halogen+Light&qid=1661463116&s=automotive&sprefix=itc+81230-ns+rv%2Fauto+round+halogen+light+%2Cautomotive%2C128&sr=1-2

I also looked up the Winnebago number and it states 3".  Not 3 1/8 but trying to help.  This may be the lens you are looking for.

Thanks for the link, Bob. I am attempting to locate just the lens but will use this link as a fallback option if they are no longer available.

They are 3 inches but when I actually measure the piece of glass it was just over 3 inches. I am a little OCD when it comes to measurements. I have made too many mistakes in the past by not measuring enough before making a cut. As they say, measure 3 times and cut once.

Richard,
I can’t help you with the lens cover,  but I can tell you what I did for bulbs, and my recommendations.

I purchased 2700K, 2 watt, G4 LEDs on eBay.  This was in early 2018 and the price was 6 for $4.50.  I discovered that the 2700k was indistinguishable from the output of the halogens.  As far as brightness, you need to go with the 2 watt LED in order to match the halogens.   When I bought my bulbs, most of the G4s were 1.6 or 1.8 watts.  Now I see they have 3 watt bulbs and I would probably buy some of those for the areas that you want more light.  If I had to do it over, I think I’d buy the something around 3100-3500k, for the whiter light.
My coach has something like 48 bulbs, so the eBay price was attractive.  Besides, I think there probably all made in China at the same plant.  I have had 2 or 3 failures since they were installed.  I did not purchase the flat/disc bulbs.  Mine look more like a bullet tip and you can see an orangish color on them.
