grizzly
Have a new circulating pump I installed and has worked fine but now every once in awhile I have to go out and tap it for it to start running. I have an older one that does the same thing.Any ideas why? Im thinking possible check valve issue
vito.a
Usually when a pump doesn't start it's either the armature is bad, or the pump impeller is sticking. You could try taking it apart to see if it spins freely. I saw on IRV2 that lots of the newer Newmar and Entegra folks are having pump issues. One of them posted an alternative pump that is much cheaper.

vito.a
See if they will warranty the pump.
96 EVO
Are you tapping the pump itself, or the zone valve for that zone? If the pump, next time it happens, try tapping the brass zone valve instead.
