Scotty Hutto
For those inquiring minds… I just had the 100,000 mile service done on my Allison 3000MH at an Allison shop near me (Northwest side of Atlanta). The cost for 5 gals of Transynd 668 and filters, plus 2 hrs labor and shop supplies plus tax was right at $600. (Yes, I know how to do it, but no, I don’t have a place *where* I can do it. 😁)
CAT Stephen
@Scotty Hutto, I will need to do that service soon, but I do have a place to DIY. Is there a procedure for changing the Allison 3000MH fluid and filters posted on this site? YouTube has videos, but they are very lacking in detail because they don't supply torque values. Walker
Filter cover bolts are 38-45 lb-ft. Drain plug is 18-24 lb-ft. I used 5 gallons of castrol 668.

That is what I paid at our Allison authorized service center PRE PANDEMIC. SINCE PANDEMIC, their quote is close to $850. I am getting so tired of prices here in So Calif. Oh yes, Dr4... it was Valley Power Systems. Formerly near East Ontario and now over in Rialto. Edited August 13 by TomV48
