Superpro14
Is there a way to quickly see any new posts say daily or the last time you were on the site? Thanks
tmw188
Yes in a email called Daily Newsletter. If your signed up for emails it will show up in your inbox every day. You’ll have to set up your preferences to determine how often you get updates on any threads you follow and participate in. Thanks Yes, On the menu (across the top on a desktop; three little white bars in the upper right hand corner on a handheld), click “Activity” —> “My Activity Streams”. You will have options for “Daily”, “Unread”, and several other options. You can also set up a custom email to send you your activity streams daily, weekly, or monthly.
Tom Cherry
I do it this way.... AND what works for me....might not others....or vice versa. I first CLEAR out the numbers in the upper RIGHT...and will glance at them....sort of "OK...who said what or posted what"...that is in the "BELL" Icon Then I click on ACTIVITY.....then ALL ACTIVITY. The BELL number gives me the number of post that have appeared or such for TOPIC that I have contributed.. I THINK. But the ALL ACTIVITY gets me ALL the posts. I scroll down and see NEW posts or POSTS to topic that I have not contributed to. Sort of, from a Moderator's perspective, checking the FLOCK. YES....I am one of the "Shepherds" and have to make sure that no little lamb has strayed. Spent too much time in Sunday School. BUT, I am sort of scanning... Do I have any knowledge of a NEW topic...I don't go to ABS or some of the many "Body and fixes are suchs". But, if a new post is something where I might have information... I click on it. If there are already responses and they state (in general) what I understand....then DRIVE ON....and not respond. If on has many replies but there is no resolution....I might start to pull prints and research and then see if I can understand and assist. That's my logic... I have had many close folks (WIFE for instance) or co-workers or bosses that often asked.... "How did you know that or how did you get to the conclusion that your reached?" Many times that was with great admiration.... LOL...other times....WHY? or PERHAPS (rarely...but that is MY recollection)....That is totally wrong.....what were you thinking...or were you multitasking....as usual...and not paying close attention.... OK...that's how I do it for my purposes.
tmw188
I might add I use my phone pretty much exclusively so depending on what he or others use it could be formatted differently.
