top flight
Went to RV in storage yesterday to continue with repair. Found the door & storage bin doors broken open. TV &power tools and other items stolen. Severe damage. Fortunately insured so other than deductible hopefully will not cost me much more. Looking for a paint and repair shop in the Niagara, Ontario region. One of the puzzleing things was that the thieves managed to break the deadbolt!
Ivan K
Man I hate stories like this, so sorry. Especially when they cause more damage before they even know that there is something worth stealing inside. Makes me question locking the fuel tank and doors and such as false sense of security. I remember when people would leave the cars unlocked or windows down to prevent just that, knowing the the narco scum would do anything to steal a radio. I still do it at home even though behind a gate.

top flight
Agree about false sense of security. MH stored in a compound with security cameras and electronic gate. These swine tried to smash the bedroom window, shattered but did not fall apart so then they attacked the door. I always thought that the dead bolt would prevent opening, but they managed to break that and get the door open. Thousands in damage to the vehicle. Tom Cherry
The tempered glass windows may be one of the most difficult. Assuming you meant CRAZED as in the two pane window was shattered into a million pieces....Been THERE....Done THAT. Finding the OEM vendor is tough. Atwood (memory) or whomever shut down their operation and sold the rights to another company in Elkhart. Google the name and of the window and such and you will find them. They can send you prints and you can determine which size you have. They have a 5 week order window....and actually have a NEW window vendor that will take and tint them exactly like the OEM. They ship glass all over the US and a local glass company can disassemble the window frame and then install the glass and reinstall the window. BUMMER... Good Luck.
MHRookie
One thing to consider minimal “R” value in double pane… just get a single pane increased thickness piece of glass. Most window repair shops won’t have the tempered thickness glass these coaches have. So ordering will obviously add to the cost.
top flight
Thanks again Tom, all your info has been a great help. Thanks MH, definately something to consider. Still trying to find a body shop that works on MH. Only one found in Greater Niagara Region (Canada), is booked up until sometime in Feb, 2025. Hopefully will find one before our Scheduled December/March winter trip to Texas.
Bruce S
Try Hitchhouse in Barrie. They used to be a Monaco dealer at one time. If nothing else they may recommend someone. Also, does Sicard's in Smithville do bodywork? They are close to you. We bought our first Sig from them many years ago.
Paul J A
Insurance agents usually know of shops. They process the claims.
