Lenny D
Hello .. On our way back from Fla to Jersey in our 2002 Windsor we crossed from Lewes Del to Cape May NJ via ferry. When I stated her up I got a warning light that I had not seen before. As it came to be I had lost my turbo boost. (We have a Banks upgrade) .. I had almost no power. I was able to safely pull over. I turned the motor off, waited about 5 minutes then restarted. Warning light gone, turbo working. I continued our ride home, about 2 hours and we had no further issues. We’ve been stationary since arriving in June. We’ll be heading out mid November back to Fla. So far to date I’ve done nothing to investigate what that glitch was but somehow I feel I can’t be that lucky and I’m thinking it could happen again. Any ideas as to what could have happened so I can have it looked at before we set sail ? Thanks .. Be safe everyone. IMG_5877.mov

Rikadoo
Codes!!! Check for codes, if there are none, perhaps call banks “WAG” ask if they had any like complaints. May be dirty contacts??? I have the 8.3 with the stinger kit, lots of room for “issues” keep us informed please
96 EVO
Yeah, sounds like a communication, or turbo actuator problem.
Dr4Film
Lenny, Just a reminder, I have had to use the Banks Bypass Adapter for the Ottomind Banks Controller twice since having the Banks Power Pack installed in 2013 on your Windsor. Once was when the 5 amp power fuse had blown going to the Ottomind Controller and I had no boost plus I had no clue as where they installed it. Finally found in laying on top of the engine when I removed the small engine hatch on the step in front of the closet one day. I replaced the fuse and the banks Power Pack came back to life. The second time was when the crimped connectors for the positive and negative cable corroded somewhat that are connected to the House Battery Bank. They supply power to the Ottomind Controller. Redid the connectors and it has been find ever since. Some folks who had the Banks Power Pack installed many years ago had their Ottomind Controller fail sometime down the road. Unfortunately, they are now obsolete with no replacement available. If that happens to your Ottomind there is no recourse except to use the Banks Bypass Adapter to revert the engine back to stock performance. One other time when I had lost my turbo boost, I had the fuel filters replaced and all was well after that. Hopefully, it was a fluke, but I wanted to prepare you for if it happens again. BTW, the Banks Ottomind is mounted to the rear of the battery compartment. The only way to get to the communication cable is to crawl under that area of the coach, remove the cable connector (which is a threaded connector) and install the Bypass Adapter. Then cover the removed connector area on the Ottomind with tape to keep it clean. Edited August 27 by Dr4Film

Have you got some pics of what that looks like? I never took a photo of the Banks Bypass Adapter. However, get in touch with @Lenny D. I am sure he can take a few photos of the adapter for you so you can make one up to have just in case. You would have to purchase the same type of plug, then install the wire into the same two connections. If I recall correctly, there is only one wire attached to two different points of the adapter.
