JDPenn
I've been laying around under the 2012 F53 chassis and noticed a few things. How would I check fluid level on this emergency brake? And, does it look like it is fully adjusted out? Are there brake shoes in this thing that need to be checked? Thanks! JD
Benjamin
I, and many others without air brakes have a similar driveline brake. Mine is powered through a series of valves off the power steering pump, but I believe there are self contained electric pumps on some of them? Find the reservoir is the only advice I can give you on that. There's probably a procedure to check the adjustment, parking on the steepest grade you can find, and seeing if it holds is good enough for me. In the old days you'd try to drive through the brake, but you're probably locked out of that electrically.
