Rico K 2005 Knight Posted November 15 Posted November 15 If you still have it I could definitely use it. My unit isn't charging properly. 🙂

ward_l_johnson Posted November 29 Author Posted November 29 As of 10 am, November 29, I still have the 200 amp alternator. Thought there were 2 individuals interested, but neither one has had the courtesy of getting back to me. So if anyone out there is SERIOUSLY interested please let me know via private email at johnsowa at gmail dot com and I’ll get back to you. The alternator is free, but of course shipping is to your account. It weighs about 35 lbs, so if you’ll give me an address I’ll quickly get back to you with shipping cost. If I don’t have any replies in a week or two, it is headed to the landfill as I no longer have a motorhome and my wife’s serious illness no longer allows us to travel.
BradHend Posted November 29 Posted November 29 For the record, @ward_l_johnson you emailed me the shipping info on Friday, November the 15th for my review and couldn’t even allow me one day to decide before passing your generous offer on to the next person that same day. I unfortunately was not in a cellular friendly area that weekend and figured it would’ve been safe to reply on the Monday. Two sides to every story.
cbr046 Posted November 29 Posted November 29 If everything fall through I'll drive up and get it . . . . But I believe Brad really needed it where I'm gonna need it after I kill mine with my new LiFePO battery. - bob
jacwjames Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I want to thank Ward for offering and sending me the alternator. We initially had issues with communication, my emails went into his spam folder and his into mine, so I see how this could be an issue. But we finally talked the phone, geeze what a novel idea!! He did explain that shipping to CAN was a big issue with lots of expense and paper work, not only for the shipping cost but for the import fees. Pretty expensive, 6-8 times what it cost to ship to me in E TN. I did receive the alternator, it is in excellent shape and with new voltage regulator etc. BUT (there is always a but, >>>my mistake) I neglected to check the model number. Didn't think about it having a different base mount. Mine is the 180 degree two hole mount while this alternator is a four hole pad mount. Checking on Cummins Quickserve I can't find a pad mount for my engine and even if I did not sure on clearances the way my surge tank is mounted and all the plumbing. So not an easy swap even if possible. My intent was to carry a spare. I did check the Monaco parts listing and found one post that had this alternator on a M11 engine. Going to do some more digging though, hate not to use this alternator, it is in excellent condition.
