Can someone tell me from the attached picture which line connected to the Nelson Power Steering Resevoir is the"Return Line"? Is it the big one or the smaller one?

Thanks in advance

Searching here first is required, prior to a new post.

Scroll down about half way.  You’ll find the picture below.  The large line is the SUCTION or supply to the pump and the small line, or return, which feeds straight up, goes into the filter so the contaminants are caught or captured inside the filter.

If you search using key words like hydraulic pump or nelson reservoir or wax valve or several others, all the info is there.  This particular diagram has been posted, from different sources and in different formats many times,

I think this is correct, but you can verify by doing more searching.

Many Monaco manuals also have this.  Did you check the chassis section?

As long as you searched....that is the main thing.  That is why I try to do a more precise, or sometimes, know of topics that have had it, "search".  As you get more experience here and learn, then you become more active and will be contributing more.

I think the information is correct... that diagram was used from a Monaco source as well as there is, but not posted, a Hydraulic Vendor that used the "Wax Valve". I don't know which you have, but whether the Electronic controller or the Mechanical Wax valve, the circuit is the same.  Both "regulate" fluid flow and both are in the same location and both "SYSTEMS". Both systems are identical as the have the same components and the flow direction and configuration of the plumbing are identical.

Now you know...but if you are concerned, then please google or do additional searches....and if you find the diagram is incorrect...  POST IT.  That's how we all learn.

Good Luck....

Hi Tom,

Thanks again for your leadership. I have successfully purged my power steering system today and put in a new filter. The diagram is correct and very helpful.
