  1. I purchased a 07 Camelot new -- The 4 corner cracks started in about 6 months -- Two of my friends who had a 08 Camelot & a 08 Septer  had the same problem - The cracks were where the roof & caps joined -- Monaco had used something like bondo & it cracked --- We took the coaches to a local paint shop in Mesa, Az  & they used fiberglass  for the repair -- Monaco paid  for the fix  --   William Willard

  2. Ted-- I live in Gilbert & work on RV`s here @ my home shop -- About 6 months ago I had plates made local & installed them -- This was on a Monaco coach -- They were made of Mirror Finish Stainless Steel -- If you like, come by for a visit -- I live in the downtown area, two blocks east of Gilbert Rd -- 301 N Palm St --     williampwillard@gmail.com --

  3. I live in the Phoenix area & have installed carpet in several motor homes -- It is about a 3/4 day job -- The coach is not livable during that time -- I move the bed box to the living area & completely strip the bedroom -- After the bedroom is complete, then I do the front -- Bill Willard ---   williampwillard@gmail.com    480-540-7377

No Sir I wont be there. I sent Jason out to do the rally. He is doing several for me this year. He is our Executive Director and oversees all of our companies.

Be sure to stop at the booth and say him to him. Let him know you are one of spies and are keeping an eye on him. 🙂

Chris -- I think you`re allowed West of the Mississippi River -- You`ve got alot of customers out here -- You should come out for a visit --

Bill, my role model is a  couple that bought a new 45’ Beaver, drove across country in 3 days to a Beaver Rally (back in the day). She was limping from a broken leg snow skiing... both were 84. We’ll be at the Gillette pre rally too.

My wife has serious knee problems, so we are renting a golf cart at the rally -- We`ll be in the high rent district -- 50amp with full hook-ups -- Drop by for a visit -- Bill Willard

  6. Some of you young folks are giving up to soon -- Life don`t stop at 65 -- I`m 84 & my wife`s 87 -- We purchased our first motorhome (18ft mini) in 1980 -- We`ve owned 8 coaches over the years & now have a 07,42' Camelot that we purchased new -- It now has 100,000 miles -- All the coaches have been money pits -- Makes no different what make or age of the coach you own, It`s gonna cost you -- We sure don`t travel as much as in the past & will probably sell the Camelot after we  attend the FMCA rally in Gillette WY -- But we`ve enjoyed the ride, & don`t miss all the money it cost to keep the RV`s going --   Bill Willard

  7. I`ve installed 5 Samsung`s in Monaco Coaches & on two of them(including mine , 07 Camelot) none of the recpts was powered was powered through the inverter-- I installed a J box where the microwave circuit exit`s the inverter & jumped that circuit to one of the two behind the frig -- The Dometic 1402 is a little to wide to go through entry door -- Norcold will -- I use a simple velcro strap to hold the doors -- A word of caution -- On one 07 Camelot, I found that the frig cabinet was only 24 inches deep in place of the normal 27 inches deep -- That makes it very close to install electrical outlets --  Bill Willard

So ,  now I find out my RV is not perfect and never will be , thanks Bill .   I don't know what to think of that . I was sitting here looking out the window thinking man that's a perfect RV I love that thing .  Now I'm not feeling the love so much , I may cry I feel so low . 😭

I wonder if a new Prevost will help .🤑

It won't matter , I can't afford one anyway I'll just have to stay with my imperfect RV .   🍋

Actually I feel so lucky to live in a country where a plain old guy like me can even own a RV and travel around this great country I love it

We are very lucky indeed -- Whenever we pass a sales lot, I always wonder what problem awaits the new owner of each one of the RV`s sitting there --

True enough Bill, but some leaks can be awful hard to find!

I worked in the manufacturing & the service end of RV`s for many years -- Water leaks like air leaks can run you nuts trying to find them -- I`ve seen something as simple as a screw being installed a little slanted causing a leak - I learned long ago, that there is no such thing as a perfect RV -- And never will be no matter how hard you try to build one -- Bill Willard

  10. Manufactures will sell just as many units using what they`re using now -- Marine plywood & such would be much more costly to use & that cost would pass on down to the end user --YOU -- Then you would be be screaming about the higher price of RV`s -- If owners would maintain their RV`s, then they wouldn`t have to worry about rot & water damage -- Sure, water lines can break, but if you leave the pump off except when needed & turn the water off at the hose bib when leaving the unit, even for a short duration, then the damage will be minimal -- Bill Willard

I have a 07, 42ft Camelot with the Power Gear Air Leveling System -- The positive wire for the air pump goes from the fuse box that is located in the front run bay to the air pressure switch , which goes directly to the pump (no relay) -- The air pressure switch went kaput & the pump would not shut off -- I`m replacing the pressure switch & adding a relay -- My question is , how do you kill power to the positive wire from the fuse box -- It stays hot at all times -- The off button on the touch pad does not turn off this power -- I pulled the fuse to work on it, but shouldn`t there be a some way to kill that power from the touch pad -- Seems like that would run the battery down while in storage -- We purchased this coach new in April 2007 & the leveling has been no problem without that pump -- Been disabled for awhile -- But I`m getting the coach ready for sale & want everything working -- William Willard

  12. Thanks so much for your reply -- I though that I wasn`t pushing the off button in the right order -- The touch pad can do everything but turn the pump off -- Adding the switch is a very good idea -- The pump not working has not been a problem for us -- When traveling, we only stay at one place 2 or 3 days at a time , so the coach stays level during the short stays - I had forgot about the pump till I was going through a things to do check list -- Our pump is located on the passenger side, in front & above the front wheel -- When you moved your pump, did you use a 4 terminal relay -- Our coach never had a relay & that`s probably what caused the pressure switch to go bad --   William Willard

  14. Neil -- I`ve had the standard  Bilstein  on our 42ft Camelot for a long while -- No complaints -- It all depends on the road condition if you are satisfied or not -- For over $700.00 difference I would be satisfied with the standard  -- Air pressure in your tires & proper ride height has a lot to do with ride comfort --

  15. I own a 42' Monaco Camelot & uses the shocks that have the eye on bottom & stud on top -- I`ve changed my shocks & four other Monaco Coach`s shocks --  Your coach will need  four Bilstein  # 24-186605 for the front & six  Bilstein # 24- 186612  for the rear -- You should find them for about $90.00 each --  The shocks are not that hard to change -- No need to jack up anything --  The shocks hold nothing up -- They`re just dampers -- If you elect to have someone do it for you, $25.00 per shock is a fair price -- William Willard
