No, we didn't have an extra layer of subfloor to remove. This bus here was a 2000 and tile wasn't to bad to come up but I am working on a 2001 Dynasty and the tile on this one is extremely hard to come up...two days and air chisel. I got it up.

Thank you very much! Some days its tough but then I look at my dad Ernie in his 70's and still installing flooring in coaches. I think that is the reason he's in such good shape. I pray in 20 years I am as in good of shape as he is. He is such an inspiration to me. Thank you again.

Thank you. It actually offset since we removed all of the tile.

Thank you all! Taking up the tile is tough. 2 Days and air chisel we got it up. Carpet is pretty easy to remove compared to the tile. Cost varies depending on what you have and what you want done. We use a LVP plank for the slide to slide across and we put felt on rollers.

We glued everything down. Yes, doing engineered wood is the way to go.

Sorry for the late reply.. technical issues! We use stair nosing around the slide and stairs.
