On my 2006 the plastic gear inside stsriped out causing it not to pull the cord.  On the FMCA site there was someone who was making a replacement gear.  I got one and it has been working great ever since.  But this was years ago.

So, looks like this is turning into a major project.  If you are still willing, I could use 12 driver side and 14 passenger side.  I have an 06 Camelot.  Let me know when and how to pay.

I did this to my Camelot.  I was concerned about the placement of the ball joints so I got some Gorilla double stick tape and put them where I thought they should go and then fitted the ram, then changed the placement until everything lined up and the door opened and closed correctly.  Then screwed it all in place.  Very nice addition.
