REV group had the colors for my 2008 by giving them the vin. Very simple process.

Here in Las Vegas I would have to go to a plumbing supplier for that since it’s not a normal size. Have you had any luck at your local plumbing shops?

You should be able to find a sharkbite for 1/2 pex that is 5/8 OD at Lowe’s or Home Depot. I purchased my own pex crimp tool so I can now make repairs as needed.

You push it straight in and it should pop back together. 

Just pop it back together with a small flathead screwdriver.

Sounds like you had a great time.

The shop has now called and said everything is back together, but the trans is not building any pressure. Allison is having them go through several tests to find the cause. Hopefully they get it figured out soon.

We dry camp about 95% of the time. We run our generator for two hrs every morning and nite. Never had an issue during a two week trip. The big power robber is the heater when it gets down into the 20s, but have never gotten below 12 volts. 

REV Group should have all that information for you including color’s.

Gregg at Country Coach was able to get me a new trans cooler made in about 7 days and it arrives at the shop in Flagstaff on Monday. The total cost for the cooler and shipping was around $1100.00. I highly recommended Gregg for any parts or questions on the Monaco as he has decades of experience with Monaco.

I called Radiator Supply House , they directed me to Oregon Coach/Country Coach. I will know tomorrow if they can build it. Thanks for the info.

Jim just recommend any radiator shop. Unfortunately it’s in another state a truck repair center. They ordered one, but no idea on when it will come in. I was hoping I could purchase one and send to shop to expedite things. I have a deer hunting trip next that I was hoping to not have to stay in a motel. If the Rv was here in Vegas, I could have had a new one built in a week.

I sent pictures of the cooler to Source Engineering. The identified the type as a box cooler and had no idea who I could get one from, stated i would have to have a radiator shop build one. Any additional advice or suggestions?

The part number for the cooler is in my post, I’m going to see if it’s correct. I don’t know the system at all and unfortunately it’s in another state for repairs, hopefully if I am not successful, the repair shop will be.

I need to find a new trans cooler for a 2008 Cayman 35sbd with the 6.7 Cummins and Allison MH 2500 transmission part # 10507057. We had to have transmission replaced and shop has not been successful in finding a new one in the lads three months. Any suggestions will be appreciated greatly.

My Rv had aluminum rivets

Rush is about the same price.? It seems the trick centers don’t really have the lifts for RVs, that’s what I have been told. The price is now down to around 13k when the cost of the core is removed.

It’s not movable. The shop did come down a few thousand, but unfortunately it would cost $3700 to have towed to an Allison shop in Phoenix. Still looking into what will be the most cost effective. The current shop has 9 hrs into it already.

im not sure as to why they are replacing the cooler, I’m calling them on Monday after I get quotes Friday n other shops. 

The fluid smelled burnt too. I believe the previous owner never serviced, we have owned it for 3 years.

We are no longer in Az, just the Rv is there. Luckily we had our Jeep with us to drive back to Vegas. The Rv is in Flagstaff Az at Velocity Truck Center.

Well we finally got the final estimate to replace our Allison MH2500 transmission. At first the codes were saying it was a short in the wiring harness caused by a tranny fluid leak. We never have had a leak so figured it was a minor leak and that made sense. I then got a call from the shop stating that when they removed the trans pan they found metal meaning the transmission needed replacement.

Today I get a new estimate to R&R transmission and replace trans cooler for a little over $18,000. This seems really high to me, has anyone else had a trans replaced?

The Rv is a 2008 Cayman 35 SBD with 48k miles.
