  1. The stay in 6th gear setting gives you the most control. If the Jake is not holding you at a safe speed on a hill simply apply brakes to drop the RPM to about 1400 and down shift to 5th. On my 45' Signature the Jake will hold me in 6th on most hills that I run into in the mountain west. Your lighter 36 coach with a 400 should do about the same. The Jake brake is far superior to exhaust brakes that many coaches have.

  2. I would not worry about the leak at this point if your leveling lasts 10 days. The cost of chasing air leaks on a Coach can become ridiculous. The leak could be coming from many places other than the bags. It would be hard for a shop to determine location for a leak that small.

The Goodyear on the steers showed obvious wear. Lots of rivering, so I replaced with Michelins a year ago. They seem to ride better than the Goodyear. The rear six are Goodyear and 7 years old. I checked them closely for wear, but I’m no tire expert. We plan to drive about 5,000 miles over the next year. Is there a way to confirm the tires are safe?

I would not do 5k on 7 year Goodyears or any other for that matter. No one can inspect a tire visually and guarantee safety.

Wow, I didn't realize Monaco was totally gone now.   When did they last sell coaches with the Monaco brand, I don't see any newer than 2019 for sale on the net.  If you goto Monacocoach.com, there are no new coaches listed.   They refer you to AmericanCoach, and I didn't see the Rev Monaco Signature anywhere either.

The last model year I believe was 2010. Pretty much the same time frame for Country Coach bankruptcy.

  5. Rev is not Monaco. They bought the name and property in Oregon where they service REV products. They make a coach now called Monaco Signature. Other than the badge it is the same type high production beer can like the other REV products, by comparison to the Original Monaco models made in Oregon.

You might check with FMCA, we have Nationwide through them with a 06 dynasty 42 4slide and fulltime. I just renewed at $1500 with nearly same coverage as you and decreasing deductible.  We had one claim 2 years ago for an AC damaged in a storm.  It is registered in Wisconsin, not because we live there, because that's where the lender was located. We do spend the summers there. If you can use USAA, they have a special Progressive deal, but my experience with them was 1 good year then the premium goes through the roof. Hope this might help.  Happy Trails Bert

Thanks Jobert, that is helpful information for me to compare our cost with. Mine is Nationwide thru FNCA as well.
