I'm still chasing down my water leak...and it's a bugger. After thinking several times I'd found the source it was back to the drawing board each time. I had tried to chase down all leads I'd received only to seemingly come to dead ends. The leak being somewhat intermittent didn't help.

I finally totally dried out my carpet by using a hair dryer and then started to use my water drain sources to see if any of them would produce the leak. I started with the shower and this time I could feel water on the carpet next to the shower wall and I saw evidence of water under the shower though not much. We then tried the washer and saw more water...I actually saw some drip. This was also under the shower. I think the shower drain and the washer drain connect together under the shower. The water was dripping under the lowest pipe but I can't see to find the source. I finally got one of those inspection cameras so maybe that will help. All the drain pipes looked glued except the actual shower drain which is screwed on but no leak there. To top it off, if I'm lucky enough to find the leak, I can't see how in the world to access it much less work on it...I can only get one hand at a time under the shower.

If anyone has done this repair before I would be in your debt if you can help me with it.

Thanks guys, my unit is 40SKQ, 2 opposing bedroom slides and 2 opposing front slides.  My bathroom is on the passenger side with sink, shower, toilet, and washer dryer with approximately 36 inch hallway between bathroom and driver's side of coach.

Sorry Ray...I think I hijacked you post by accident.

In answer to Jim's question -

Yes the washer is in the RR next to the clothes closet. There is a base cabinet along the Pass side wall at the foot of the bed. The leak is about 5-6 inches from the driver side wall of the coach and to the north side of the bed, next to the shower wall (it's a double wall as it encloses a pocket door.)

  3. 38PDT Windsor. The washer is in the pass side rear corner and the leak is on the other side of the bed next to the wall that separates the shower form the bedroom , I think it is under the rug but it is also right next to the wall and could be soaking the rug from the other side of the wall.

Chuck,  thanks for your post.  As I posted a couple of days ago after 10 minutes of back flushing no wzter spots appeared.  Also, we do laundry almost everyday and no sign of water spots during or after doing laundry. If anyone posts the waterline schematic I'll take a look at that as well.  Unless it worsens I'll wait until I'm back in Oregon in April and consult with Scott at Amazing Creations, Coburg, Or.  Scott worked for Monaco for several years and knows these coaches ingimately.

There is a shop in Harrisburg, OR that has ex Monoco employees called Elite - they have a great reputation. Eric used to work in the dept. that took care of trouble-shooting problem coaches for many years. If Scott can't fix it you might call Elite, I've used them a few times and after explaining my problem they have known right away what it was. I don't think that there is a problem that they haven't run across and fixed....I just wish they were in my area.🙂

I have been following this and trying to visualize the location of the spots.  I went to the Holiday Ramble site 2007-ENDEAVOR.pdf (holidayrambler.com) and got the brochure.  Based on your description the water spots are showing up about where the red dots are on the image below.  After some discussion with my wife explaining what was happening, the only thing above the floor near that area is the backflow preventer for the black tank flusher.  The supply line for the flusher goes from the outside connection up into the bath are under the cabinet and then to the black tank flusher jet.  Mounted on the top is a back flow preventer valve that can release so water if not working right.  The water may be going under the carpet underlayment and then up through a seam in the underlayment.  Yes, contorted but that is my only guess.   Next time you flush the black tank find the valve under the sink and see if you get any water around it.  It will look somewhat like the second image.

This is really helpful to me as I have a similar water leak which wets my rug in spots also only my leak is next to a wall in my bedroom which has our shower on the other side. I've checked and checked the shower underneath and all the connections I can get at and all is dry. My wife used the washer last night and the spot appeared and was very wet. We hadn't used the shower and I have not back flushed the black tank but there it was. Sooo, I'm asking if anyone has a schematic of the water lines or know where I can get one so I can try and trace out where any lines might be relative to my leak.

    This is in a 2004 Windsor PBT38.

    Thanks for any help.

Chuck, Camco makes a set of sewer wrenches that specifically fit the Camco sewer hose. Amazon has them. Just search for  Camco sewer hose wrenches.

Thanks Richard I will check them out.

I saw a post somewhere and the solution was “oil filter” pliers. I have one but you need two, one for each side. I experimented with just the one and it worked well. Going to get another pair.
The strap wrenches should work but they are somewhat fiddle for diddle!

    Thanks, I'll look into those.

  8. I use the same sewer hose as Richard and I'm having a real problem of connecting and disconnecting the bayonet fittings.

This has become more of a problem as I age and I'm at the point where I can't get the fittings apart using my arm strength.

I have lubed them to no avail.

I'm thinking of buying some strap wrenches but would love to here of other "fixes".

  9. I want to reinforce what Richard said. I have a 2004 Windsor and like most, I was worn out after a trip of 3-4 hours. I have the TRW steering which was adjusted in Quartzsite. I could tell a significant improvement on the drive home. Later, again at Quartzsite, Mike Hughes installed the front Watts. This also improved the driving but much greater improvement than the steering adjustment. A few months later I drove to Mike's house and had the rear X-Bars installed. This seemed to tie all the improvements together for a MUCH improved driving experience. I would do it all again.

My rear shocks were worn out so I had Koni's installed, I already had Koni's on the front. I'm sure they helped but I didn't notice any improvement in actual driving except that the porposing is now much more controlled.

  10. I just replaced my TPMS with a new upgraded system and have my old one, a Tire Tracker TT-400, that I'd like to give to someone that could use it. It does need some TLC as I think a few sensors are not working. I haven't used it in a year or so so don't know exactly what shape it is in. It cost me $770 when I bought it. It will come in the original box with 10 sensors (working or not 🙂 ) and the instruction manual.

All you need to do to get it is pay the shipping cost.

  11. Hi Paul,

I had a problem with a slide lock several years ago, the bottom part bent out and the slide wouldn't close so I had to remove it. I called Erik at Elite Repair in Harrisburg, OR where I had previously had some work done to get his advice. Erik told me to remove it, put it in a bay and the next time I come thru Harrisburg he would check it out. I told him I was starting a long trip but he said not to worry as it won't hurt anything being removed. That was about five years ago and I still haven't gotten to Harrisburg.

    Just another option.
