The attachment is what I have been looking at. Is this adjustment something you would advise someone to do themselves? I have decent skills, however we full time in our Monaco so don't want to get half done and determine I'm in over my head! Bedroom Slides Adjustment.pdf
-
Sorry for the late reply! On the bedroom slide there was a nut that came off of the adjustment. It is a lock nut so not something that is causing a problem. I can see where the nut goes with a mirror but no way to get to it without removing the trim.
The bedroom slides do not need much, if any adjustment, however my PS kitchen galley slide needs to be adjusted vertically up. I believe they are both Lateral Arm slides and by HWH adjustment instructions it should go back to the manufacturer. I would like to remove the trim on both slides to look at the adjustment.

How much can I expect to pay to have my clock spring replaced?
Horn and wipers not working.
I, (Warranty Insurance) paid $942.00 at Alliance Coach.

If it is showing that the service brakes are applied I would first troubleshoot the service brake switch that sends the signal to the ECM. Dave told you the location of this switch. If the ECM thinks the brakes are applied, then cruise control won't work and the cruise control buttons won't allow for fast idle either. I will assume that the ECM is showing that the Jake brake is reading OFF even though the dash switch is set to off.
All I know is what the two techs. that plugged in to the coach told me. "Bad brake sensor" If I knew then what I know now I would have ask many more questions.

When you start the engine an engage the cruise control and then hit resume button does the engine idle up?
The only switch that shows up in the wiring diagram is the brake light switch. Both switches are side by side on the firewall in front of the brake pedal. The switch on the park brake is located on the park brake in the console.
The engine does not idle up. The only sensor/switch I haven't checked is the one on the park brake.

Frank, you are correct. There are two switches on the firewall. one switched is normally open and the other switch is normally closed. The normally open switch is the brake light switch and the normally closed switch is for the cruise control. when the brake pedal is pressed the normally open switch closes and turns on the brake lights. The normally closed switch opens turning off the cruise control.
There are other switches also in play; the park brake switch also controls the cruise control and when the park brake is released should be closed for the CC to engage. There is also a switch in the leveling system that must be closed and the coach must be at ride height and in travel mode for the cruise control to engage.
Make sure the fuse to for the cruise control is not blown. It is located in the FRB on PCB 3, third fuse down from the top.
To test whether it is the cruise control itself that has failed, start the engine, turn the cruise control on and push the resume button on the smart wheel. If the engine idles up as it is supposed to then the cruise control itself is functioning properly and the issue will either be in the wiring or a faulty switch.

My mobile chassis tech put his computer on and it showed the brake sensor. He jumped the brake sensor but nothing. How many brake sensors are they? Any suggestions as to where the problem could be? Any suggestion for a trusted shop in the Tampa Bay area that could work on it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks David, Are those switches shown on the wiring diagrams? Nothing works from the wheel. All other buttons work on the wheel with the exception of the Cruise. Push the cruise and the light on the dash comes on but nothing else related to the cruise.

Jim, Are your stop lights working ok ? I recall a thread from long ago where someone found a problem with their stop lights .
Ray, I remember that post and mine are working fine!

I have tried that with no luck. It seems that the cruise believes the brake is on!!

Ron, I will pull the work order from Alliance and let you know. My extended warraty took care of most of it.

Chris, I know right where you are as I parked in your home driveway when you installed two sets of guardian plates. I have checked the belt lines and can see no break anywhere. All caulk looks good.

Dennis,
Good suggestion, however this just happens when we get a rain. We are in the Tampa, FL area and have not had much rain until lately. I have taped a piece of white plastic over the area so I can see when it occurs. Suppose to get several inches of rain in the next few days so I will see.

I have some ugly streaks showing up under the bathroom window. (See Photo) I have checked the window caulking, upper beltline, window weeps. Everything looks fine. Water is finding a small channel behind the fiberglass and running out at the wet bay door. Anyone have any suggestions??

I was hoping it was Velcro! It seems pretty tight, but probably hasn't been off in years. Learned a lot about the rollers and what was underneath, just as anxious to learn more about the sides. I've got sketches, but nothing like seeing the real thing, especially when 3 of my slides are operated the same.

Follow Up: I finally located the screws and removed the cover. (See photo for screw location) The rollers are much smaller than expected but seem to be in good shape. Many loose screws and tyewraps. The large washer that I had previously found was from the front slid adjustment. Looks like I will need to remove the trim to get to it. I can see it with a mirror.

I have looked for screws with no luck. Pulled the hamper drawer and found some electrical, mainly to the TV. Found that drawer slide was bad so replaced it. This slide has not given me too much trouble. Had Talin install Guardian plates last year. I have found some mysterious washers on the floor and wanted to inspect the rollers. The cover moves about 1" up, down and back and forth. I thought there may be some secret Monaco latch that I couldn't find.
I will report back when I get it removed. Plenty of time right now so hasn't been a problem. Thanks for all the input!!

2006 Executive PS bedroom slide comes out about 6" when I move the coach. Never did this before. I removed the carpeted cover along the floor to look at the rollers, but did nothing but look. Any suggestions??
