  1. Thanks Tom Great information. Will check this out tomorrow. Last time I was up there and discovered that the original antenna was damaged I don’t recall seeing a ground plane but I could wrong. Thanks again Laurice
  2. Thanks Bob Looks like I've got my work cut out for me this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion. Laurice
  3. Thank you Moe and Adam. Most helpful. Suddenly my weekend project is not as big as I was expected. Thanks again, much appreciated Laurice
  4. Good morning We have a 2009 Knight 38PKQ that has a damaged Sirius XM antenna. I have a replacement but ... Has anyone replaced their Sirius antenna? If so, I'm wondering how you managed to do this? There does not appear to be an 'easy' access to the ceiling area near the same location that the antenna is located or even access to the top of the left pillar which is where I imagine the coax is located. I hope I do not have to remove all of the front cabinets! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Laurice
  5. Thanks Tim You are correct. The issue is the transfer switch. I was afraid it was! Thanks again Laurice
  6. Thanks interesting thing. I have my surge guard plugged into the pedestal and this shows both legs are fine. Will try and pull the cover off the distribution panel today and measure as you suggested. Thanks for the suggestion. Starting to look like it could be the transfer switch. All is good in the generator. Thanks.
  7. The front AC, electric water heater and kitchen island AC outlets, all stopped working this morning on our 2009 Monaco Knight 38PKQ. Indicator lights work on AC unit and furnace works from remote (through AC unit).but no power from power outlets on island. Any ideas? Breakers are all good. Have 50amp input and line quality is good. thanks Laurice
  8. During this recent 'episode' with getting the MH started we ended up contacting the local Freightliner shop and they came out, removed the old filters and pre-filled the new filters before installing. Once installed, we turned on the electric fuel pump twice for approx 15 seconds each time and voila ... started right up ... no issues. According to the Frieghtliner trained mechanic, this is the way that he was trained by Freightliner to correct this situation. Laurice
  9. Looks like it’s going to be a long day here at work. Do you mind if I call you tomorrow? Don’t want to wake anyone. Laurice
  10. Thanks Gary. I'll give you a call this evening when I'm back home. Talk soon Laurice
  11. This sounds like our issue. Thanks. Will check that the seals are in the pan and let you know
  12. We did this last summer, but I'll take another look at it. Thanks for the reminder.
  13. We have been struggling to find the source (and correct) of a water leak in the rear bedroom drivers side slide of our 2009 Monaco Knight 38 PKQ. We have had it in to the repair shop twice for this and each time they 'believe' they have corrected, but .... The first time we were told that the issue was "blocked internal roof eavestrough drains". This weekend as a result of an old fashioned gully washer storms our carpeting on both sides of the slide is wet, again. Has anyone else had this issue? If so how did you detect and correct the source of the problem? Thanks in advance Laurice & Jennifer 2009 Monaco Knight 38 PKQ (Faith) 2016 Ford Explorer (Toad) Sadie - Australian Sheppard Fort Steele, BC
  14. Thanks to everyone’s help we were able to get it started. Changed out both fuel filters turned on the key a couple of time to let it prime up and it started! What a relief. mince again thanks to all for your advise.
  15. Good idea. I cannot detect any fuel leaks at this time. But it is possible that I cannot see the leak if it is small. Will keep checking. Thanks for the idea.
  16. Thanks for the advise. Will try that this morning. This could be the issue. I made sure the water separator was drained completely in the fall but when I tried it on Tuesday there was a fair amount of liquid that drained. Much appreciated
  17. Went to start our 2009 Monaco Knight 38PKQ yesterday With the Cummins ISC 360 HP and engine turned over fired and before getting up to idle speed (approximately 1-2 seconds) engine shut down. No warning lights came on. Engine turns over still but will not fire. Sounds to me like there is an air lock in the fuel system. Has anyone else experienced this? I cannot find the hand primer? Does anyone know if this engine/ model has one! If not, how would you correct this situation? Any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks. 18. Thanks for the post. Very informative. I’ve never used a polisher I’ve heard they can really damage the finish if you don’t know what you’re doing. Is there a specific cream/polish/grit that you would suggest? Thanks again Laurice
  19. I took off the skirting on our 2009 Knight 38PKQ today and found that the skirting has left rub marks in our paint. I’ve tried to take them out with Mothers scratch remover and while the marks are not as visible, they are definitely still there. Has anybody else had the same problem and if so, how did you correct. Thanks in advance Laurice & Jennifer Fort Steele, BC 2009 Monaco Knight 38PKQ
