  1. We have a 2008 HR Endeavor. The emergency air brake is set but it won't allow the haudraulic jacks to go down because it says to engage the air brake. The Air brake is engaged.  There is a electric solenoid under the panel by the drivers seat. Could this be bad? The Air brake assembly is Midland. Any suggestions?

  2. Did you have devices on inside your coach before you turned on the value on on the cylinder? If so, go turn off all  gas appliances inside. Then turn off the knob on the propane cylinder. Wait about half minute, then turn cylinder back on. Go inside and try your appliance again. Also that relay is probably tied to tour LP detector. Has it gone off on you?

  3. Our front jack leaked hydraulic fluid and wouldn't go up. We ended up removing it in order to move to our next area. We only have one jack in front on our 2008 HR Endeavor. We have been calling around without any luck. Can these be repaired or do we have to buy a new one? It is a Power Gear with the numbers 501136 on one line and under that was 08031 P 230135. We are in Cheyenne tonight and then on to Colorado. Any suggestions are welcome.

  4. When someone unplugged our MH while we were gone for 10 days, I didn't think I'd find anything to get the smell out. My daughter suggested white vinegar. We kept some in the freezer and some in the fridge. We would switch them each day, putting the frozen one in the fridge and vice versa.  It took a week but the odor disappeared. Vinegar worked wonders for us.

Where in the middle did he mount the jack?

would 18" be a good length of actuator?  mount it where  there is a 18" gap when bed fully raised? I assume it will also pull the bed down.  Where did you get your 12Vs from?

Wouldn't heavier struts be harder to lift and pull down?

When we get back to the MH, we'll post some pics. At a doc appointment now.

A lot of good advice above.  My buddy's '98 Monaco steps were acting up so I did what little diagnosis I could do.  The electric and motor seemed fine so I removed, disassembled, and found some worn parts in the gear.  Somewhere I found on the web that these parts could be replaced with nuts.  So that's what I used and his steps have worked for three years now.   Pictures attached.

Thank you so much for this idea  and the pictures.  My husband did this to ours and it is working! It is even much quieted now too. Perfect timing as we head out tomorrow.

The replacement motor I used for my ‘03 Camelot was ACI (brand) part # 83694. The info I can find using google says it’s for a 1986 - 1995 Taurus driver’s door. I remember taking the motor with me to Advance Auto and they cross referenced it, but that’s been about 4 years. I had to replace the plug on the new motor with the one from the old. I checked using Google and it showed Advance Auto, Auto Zone, and Rock Auto with the part. I remembered paying about $50 but I must be wrong since it now runs $65 - $80.  Still working fine four years later.

Thanks so much. We just have to wait until we are in a park long enough to get the part shipped.

  8. My hubby took the motor off and opened up the top. There were broken pieces inside. We checked 3 different places today and no one had a replacement motor. Those that got a Taurus window motor, what year was it? Each years seems to be a little different.

  9. Hi,

Our entry  steps are not working right.  The motor is working but they do not go in all the way.  Instead of stopping,  it goes back and forth for awhile  and then stops  with it not quite up all the way.  Going out, it shakes awhile before the motor stops.  We had the magnet changed recently that lets the steps go in and out.   Anyone have any ideas?

I posted this a while ago and got no response, so I thought I would post it here.

Someone posted recently that they had a slow moving bedroom slide and the solution was the wires connected to the motor were burned up or loose, and fixing it solved the problem.  Easy-Peesy solution, right?😉  Their motor was at the top of their battery compartment.  Well, that's not where it is for my 2005 HR Scepter.   I am looking for the curb side rear slideout motor.  Anyone know where it is?

That is the only one we haven't found on ours. We haven't checked yet but wonder if it is under the area where the bottom drawers are located.
