I don't see an ignition lockout relay in that picture. If your park light was ON, that would mean that ignition was ON and lockout would remove power from the switch. That's how mine works.

My lockout relay is on rear low current plate by the engine, not sure about your configuration.

See my edit in the first post.  Do you have the controller in the circuit I found….?  I’m mixing circuits in my mind.  You need to find the right one.  Keep looking in our files.

I’m a little perplexed by the terminals on the slide control switch.  Can you get a picture.  That is a momentary contact switch.  The three are the power in or center….then the outside are the In and Out signals,  but I don’t understand the missing wire on the other side…

keep looking for the exact wiring diagram..and give us a picture

This is my situation, I thought it was not relevant but may serve as an excuse.
I am leaving in my coach for over a year now while I am building a house, which is taking longer that originally planed. So the slide has being out for all this time.
I had some problems with the electrical awning(Lippert) so I had to do some rewiring. When my slide out didn't work I check If I moved/disconnected any wiring related to the slide out. I didn't find anything that I could have done. I checked the fuse on the outside panel and it is good.

Since it has being longtime, I tried to see if I have voltage a the prong (niddle on left side) with the ignition key on or off, with the jacks up, checked al the bay door switches.

This is what it puzzles me; the HWH shows the basic principle before Monaco "modified" it. In that it shows that the pump relay energize the 15 amp fuse. Fuse #1 on the panel is energized.
Battery power should reach the momentary switch at the middle terminal; on my coach it is a black wire that is labeled "Battery relay switched" but it does not have voltage.
So I assuming that Monaco installed all those bay switches in series and place a relay in between.
I wonder if I do supply voltage to that middle prong it will work?
On the HWH schematic it shows that the middle either sends out or receive voltage to the accessory +12 fused
I got the feeling that I disconnected that middle prong when I was working on the awning, I replaced the wire nuts they installed with better push in connectors and I may have throw it out by mistake.

  2. I tested all three switches, all three are getting battery voltage and they close the loop when they are pushed in.

The middle prong on the left side of the switch has a black wire (all three on the left side are black) with a sticker that says "battery relay switched" what it means that a relay has to complete the loop. But I have no clue where the relay is located.

  3.

My slide out is not working in or out.
As with all the information I have, one contradict the other
The switch on the panel has six prongs, three on the left that are used , and three on the right that only two are used leaving the middle empty.
According with the HWH diagram, I should have 12 volt at the middle prong which I don't
On the outside fuse panel (by the driver's window) fuse #1 (15 amp reset fuse) has 12 volts. On the attached PDF it shows that only three prongs are wired (this is the only diagram I can find that mention anything on the slide out)

I believe there is a relay that may be cutting off the power to that wire, but I don't have a location for it or a diagram to figure how it works.

HWH schematic shows a relay that may be interrupting the power but it does "before" the fuse, and I have power to a 15 amp fuse, if I am looking at the same fuse though.
I do appreciate your help. I suppose to be leaving in a week for vacation and I am stock with an open slide out.

    Thanks to all

  4. I got a new awning from lippert, with electric arm. I  believe is vinyl.

In less of a year the colors faded, the roller is not straight ( normal for them) and the pivot arms broke three times.

Whatever you do, stay away from lippert, garbage

  5. The width of your current tires is 315mm and you want to be 365, that is 50 mm different or 2 inches.

Would your rims accept that width?

You also need to keep the same overall diameter,. How you do that?

Adjusting the profile; if you keep the same profile your tires will be to big.

A "good" tire supplier will advice.

I don't know if you can get the tire size you need, I think for @ 10mm increase on the wider the tire has to go 5% down on the profile. Not doing so will make the tire bigger affecting the speedometer reading which can be adjusted by an Allison dealer.

Profile = a % of the tire width. The result will be the distance from the tire rim to the tire edge.

If your tire is 315/70 R22.5 , the distance is 220.5 mm.

I you keep the same ratio, the length will be 255.5 mm, so the overall tire high will increase by 2.81 inches.

Do you have the room for it?

Manteining the same ratio WILL require a programing on the Allison transmission.

  6. Like Google and many other corporations.
They buy the competition, they get rid of the "unnecessary" people that do duplicate work, blue collar, marketing, etcetera.

Yes, Thorn will cut corners, people will loose their job, and another CEO will make a ton of money.

Dang guys and gals, I did not mean to hit a nerve but guess I did. With the pandemic and the election all going at the same time there seems to be a lot of spent up frustration out there.

Since I started this thread I guess it is ok for me to comment off topic. In my opinion, and with that and $2 you might be able to buy a cup of coffee - but no guarantees, I believe the future is nuclear power (fusion and fission). There is a place for all sources of energy but the only thing that comes close to replacing fossil fuel is nuclear power. I have worked in the industry since February 1977 and know the big road block to nuclear power is the public's fear. I started working in Oak Ridge, TN on the centrifuge uranium enrichment project and things were going like gang busters and the money was flowing like a river and then in March of 1979 the Three Mile Island accident happened. The US nuclear power industry had just about recovered from that when 32 years later in March 2011 Fukushima happened. We still have not come back from that. I am sad to say that currently there is no domestic uranium enrichment capability in the United States. We as a nation never seem to complete our goals in this area. The new modular generation of nuclear reactors require uranium enriched to almost 20 % called HALEU (High Assay Low Enriched Uranium) and currently the only source for fuel is to blend down uranium enriched for weapons. Most logically thinking folks know that solar and wind will never provide enough energy to replace fossil fuels but they help and provide a lot of good high tech jobs. The Lord knows we need more good paying jobs that can provide careers. It will be difficult and take a long time to wean us as a nation from fossil fuels. What worries me is that we will continue our consumption until the supply of crude oil is almost gone and that is a problem because there are many things we need and produce from crude oil beside gasoline and diesel fuel.

Well said. I learned a lot about all your comments and I  agreed that in this country the public perception of nuclear reactors. And I think that is based not in the hardware but on those that move the dials and push buttons.  I am not accusing, I  just saying "perception". I  remember a Nextel commercial when two operators are arguing about the name of a BLT sandwich,  that should be called BLTM because have mayonnaise on it while all alarms were going off and people were trapped on what appeared to be a  containment chamber on a nuclear plant. For me, my taught were; really.

You ever saw in a TV show doctors and nurses chatting on an operating room about trivial stuff?

That is what people (me) worries, the human factor inside a nuclear plant.

    I'd

'D born in Argentina,  (third world country)we have four nuclear reactors there and never a safety issue.  The same in many countries. So we are so afraid here.

In Long Island we still paying taxes for a nuclear plant that never saw one day of operation and the project was canceled because "public" concer.

The OP was about diesel fuel prices.  I thought my first post was relevant, that is, about what the diesel prices are and how it relates to the energy picture in the US.  I apologize to Bob If I went off-topic there in that first post.  I fueled up today in that same station and the prices were still substantially the same, there and in the surrounding area.

@Pampero.  If you want to start a thread about electric vehicles and solar and wind power I suggest: (1) you start a new thread, (2) provide substantiation for your claims, (3)leave out sweeping statements like "still importing almost 50% of our consumption" and "you have free energy for a long time" unless you can substantiate them.

US was importing about 9.5 million barrels per day in 2019 and producing 12.5 million barrels per day in 2019 (about numbers. So it is not "almost" 50%? I am sorry I was not as accurate as you want me to be. I am trying to say is that the prices are based on supply and demand plus taxes.
New York was always higher in fuel than NJ. I always filled in NJ as soon I got out of NY and I always filled in NJ before I got back. Now is the opposite. Why? The crude oil price is the same, but taxes are different. You can add 100% taxes on a $1.5 gallon of Diesel fuel or you can add 50%, but the base crude oil price is the same. Yes I know, there is some adds on, like each company will add additives and transportation, but the crude being low is supply and demand, and the demand is shrinking.
But everything I just said is fake news.

  9. I agreed, but once those turbines are working, then you have free energy for a long time. Agreed that you have to make materials to make the wind turbines, but an electric generator like they using around me, either uses diesel fuel or natural gas. So it never ends, Once that blade is turning...

90% of electricity generated in France is Nuclear

  10. Surprisingly I have seen prices as low as $1.569

I don't remember ever seen this low.

Just think that we are the only country that still using big gas engines.

Most of European countries are banning gas and diesel engine.

Oil producers keep lowering their prices because they can't sell.

Others may disagree but no one can't take credit for low prices, but we, the people can.

Tesla has changed the mentality of the automobile industry; if they wouldn't come along, GM and FORD never had changed their ways about producing electric cars.

The same way that Honda changed the American menhow build cars. build cars.

Solar and wind power is the way to go.

Our SIG had a propane tank just for the gas stove. (We're full timers and a tank of propane would last over a year for all our cooking.) Everything else in the coach was electric. We were at Davis cabinets in Junction City, OR and had them remove the gas unit, and modify the Corian counter top to accommodate the a two hot pad induction unit. Davis had bought the remaining Corian stock when Monaco went bankrupt and had the exact match  for our cabinet tops. We had the folks at Elite Repair in Harrisburg, OR remove the propane tank and close up the tank space, creating an additional bay in the basement.

We now have an all electric coach and don't have to mess with propane. Wife likes the induction cooktop and has had no problems getting used to it. I should mention that we bought one of the single counter top portable induction units for her to try out before we made the change to induction cooking permeant in the coach.

we will like to have pictures, I will like to convert to induction. My house is induction and we love it

  12. I will need a replacement of my roof ladder. I had done few years ago by All-Rite RV, and it was good. It got damaged in a campground 🤥
The problems is that the last time I have to send my old one (expensive shipping cost) so they can copy it.
You figure that they will be smart and save the dimensions, but they did not.
So I would have to do the same, but I wonder if someone have an insight about a supplier. I tried Visonerv with no avail.

    Thanks

  13. Just to clarify

AJ Electric sells a direct fit replacement with warranty.

Rebuild you are at the mercy of a rebuilder, and if your options are limited you can take the change with a rebuilder and good luck if you get strander away from home ot if you get stranded away from home AJ Electric is a place that you can depend on.

Divided opinions here, some they have one time experience with a rebuilder, some they deal with a same rebuilder because their business and have good experience.

I worked 40 years and I can tell you that most of the rebuild alternators are not rebuild to the factory specs. Brushes, bearings and paint is not what a remanufactured should be.

My own opinion? They are junk

    Your choice
