  1. Hello all and thank you in advance for your knowledge and assistance.  

    I am continuing to have problems with my entrance door coming unlatched while driving.  It has been a problem for a l8ng time.  I have changed the bottom striker and tightened up everything about the door.  It still comes unlatched.  Fyi. the deadbolt stops the door from opening; however, the steps sometimes comed out.....What can I do?  Where can I find new latches?  Can I disconnect the steps?

  2. Greetings All.  My electric toliet with two blue buttons on the right side (one for flushing and one to add water) has stopped working.

    The toliet went thru a cycle of continuous  flushing with the drain opening and closing without pressing the button.  Now, when you press either button. nothing happens.

Greetings all, I am in need of your experience and expertise.  On my 2003 Diplomat, I noticed the hinge covering the LP tank on passenger side has rusted out and is now being held by the door lock on the bottom of the door.  The hinge itself is rusted away from how it was connected to the RV body.  Looks as if time, water and use has caused this issue.

    Does anyone have a recommendation for repairing or a vendor who can make the repair.  I am currently located in South Carolina.

I had 1200 rebuilt with Amish kit.  The.kit repiared the noncooling issue; however, I was never satisfied with the overall cooling of the unit after the kit installation; therefore, about a year after installing the kit, I installed a residential unit.  I have beeo soooo hapoy with the residential issue that I will never go back to a norcold unit.

     

    I recommend you take a look at a residential unit.

     

     

  5. Looks like they are off to a great start.  What is the time estimate for completion?  When they inspected your rv what type of repairs had to be made.  I know.one of.my basement doors hinge is starting to pull away from frame.

    I am interested in getting my RV done. I had an appointmemt for Mike Williams in IN and had to cancel because of COVID.  I tried to reschedule and the price went from 15000 pre COVID to 22000 post COVID.

  6. Greetings all and thank.you for sharing valuable information related to Monaco RVs.

    I am seeking vendors that do full body painting.  I had planned to have my 2003 Diplomat 40" painted in Elkhart, IN by Mike Williams; however, the price has increased from 15000.00 to 22000.00.  Seems extremely huge price increase; therefore, I am seeking alternative vendors...maybe closer to South Carolina.

  7. Anyone have recommendations for generator service in Atlanta? 

    How do you troubleshoot a generator?  It wouldn't start, so I installed new fuel filter,   Primed over and over (press/hold stop position on start switch), no help.  Cranks OK.  After holding the switch in prime position for awhile, the light in the switch comes on.  Try to start, just cranks but no firing.  Full fuel tank.

    2005 HR Scepter.  Diesel generator.  Onan KDKAK.

    daveyjo, have you checked to make sure the 12 vdc pump is working?  Ours did the same thing, crank like crazy and plenty of fuel in  the tank.  It was the electric "pick-up" pump.  Our problem is not constant and have not had it fixed, I think it's a relay, so we had a switch installed to get 12 vdc to the pump to use when we need it.  Our pump will work fine for months then for no reason it doesn't.  Good thing we have the switch.

    My generator has the same issue.  I have to prime for.an extended period of time and sometimes it still will not crank.  After paying Cummins Atlantic over $500.00, they told.me it was a battrry issue.  I put 4 new batteries in and I am still having the same problem.  In fact, sometimes while driving, the generator will cut off.

    I have over 8000.hours on generator and wanted to do a major service; however, the quotes are over $3000.00 because my generator is.not on a slide.

    I will check the pump discussed in this posting.  Does anyone have any other thoughts?  Also, any recommendations for a service provider near South Carolina?

  8. All, Thank you for your assistance.  My bedrooms slide contains the bed; therefore. I checked under the front of bed for rollers.  Because of carpet, I did not see rollers.  I am wondering if I should take everything out from under the bed and attempt to access the rollers from under the bed to check if rollers are loose or adjusted appropriately?  I also plan to breakout my ladder and check the top of the slide. to include toppers. 

    I installed the metal plates under the slide a couple years back and they still look good.

    If I cannot find a solutions, I will be headed to Florida in the next couple months to see your staff Chris.

All, I have recently noticed my drivers side bedroom slide top is lagging when I.open or close slide.  When I press slide button and the slide begins to move in or out, the bottom of the slide is moving a lot more than the top.  It appears or gives the appearance the top is sticking.  I take my time and work the button a few times hoping not to cause any damage...

    This maybe normal and I am just noticing;  however, I was thinking the slide would move in and out squarely.  FYI, I have checked to ensure the RV is level.

    The slide does open and close.  It also has a good seal once fully open or closed.

Many thanks to all.  The many responses was very useful.  I located the correct tranafer switch in the fuse box on the front driver side compartment.  I used a jumper that I purchased from NAPA (NAPA P/N 781144) and all is well.  Full power with no issue.  Very quick fix, thanks to all your help.

    Hello all.  I am in need of your assistance.  I have a 2003 Monaco Diplomat.  I am experiencing total loss of 12 volt power in the coach/house. All 110 electrical works.  I have checked the salesman switch at entrance door and flipped in each direction (no power), I have checked the breakers on the inverter and flipped (the inverter has a green charging light on and it is humming) and I took the cables off each side of transfer switch attempting to bypass and power came back on for a day or two but is currently not working.  When it was working, the lights would flicker and were dimmer at times.  I also occassionally heard a clicking noise in the breaker box located in the bed room.

    The house batteries are less than 4 months old (four 12 volt interstate) I load checked the house and chassie batteries and they checked good .

    I am.attaching a picture of transfer switch and batteries.  Any help is greatly appreciated. currently no heat or interior lights
