The aux air compressor on my 09 Camelot stopped running to maintain the air pressure to re-level as necessary. In looking for the issue, I moved a wire & the compressor started running. It turned out to be a bad power connection to the compressor. The connection was not protected in any way from the elements. The covering on the spade connector was melted. Cut out the bad connector, replaced it with a new one & taped it up to protect it from the water when driving in rainy conditions & all is good........ for now.

I believe so, yes. Thinking back I was just leaving the REV Group facility when I noticed a small crack in the windshield but it was a Friday afternoon & we needed to be in Florence that day. I had been there for 3 nights & had a weeks reservation in Florence. I guess I could have had it replaced at Coach Glass if I was willing to spend the weekend until Monday when I could go see about a replacement.  I plead guilty to wanting to be on the coast rather than in the Coburg heat. 

I'm sorry......my computer doesn't spell so good at times. It is a "Coach Glass" windshield. They are up the street from the REV Group facility in Coburg, OR.

There were a couple of filled chip spots in the windshield when I bought this MH.   I thought that could be the cause of the large crack but it doesn't run through either of them. I was thinking that there might have been an impact point that wasn't readily visible. I think the windshield had been previously replaced because it is marked "Coast Glass".

My windshield cracked while I was on my summer OR-WA trip. I didn't see a crack until about 10 days after I stayed in a park that had angled speed bumps. I can't imagine a park installing speed bumps in this manner knowing the possible damage that might occur crossing over these speed bumps. Yesterday I called Nationwide to arrange to have it replaced. They arranged have to Duncan systems who works with local glass shops around the country to do the install. I was told that Safelite refers those of us with MH's to Duncan. It will be a few weeks before Santa delivers my windshield so I will have it replaced when I return from Pismo Beach in a few weeks. Nationwide's glass replacement coverage has a  $100 deductible. I can do this! 

Wayne....did you have these installed at Source Engineering in Eugene? Also, was the cost mentioned an installed cost or plus installation? I am planning to upgrade my shocks as the ride in our Camelot should be better.

Toyo tires are used commonly on heavy trucks traveling our highways. I used to buy these when I was running heavy trucks in my previous life because I liked that they were a good mid range tire & that they were made in America. My understanding was that they were made in a joint facility with Bridgestone & Firestone. I Most all of my friends are running Toyo's on their MH's. These tires are reasonably priced for us because they wear well & provide a comfortable ride. We will never wear out the tread on our tires so why pay up for the Michelin's? It is reasonable for some of us to choose the higher priced Michelin tires if that what we like but for me I am please with my Toyo's.

If you call the Rev Group they should be able to tell you what shades you have in your HR. I went through this  a few months ago & they confirmed that mine was a MCD shade system.

I had this same issue with my day shade, push the button & it would jump an inch or so in either direction. Sought assistance from the  "master rv tech" at the shop where I store my coach but he told me that they couldn't figure out how to take the shade roller down to check the motor. I was recently at the Rev Group facility in Coburg so I had them check it. The head tech told me that getting the roller out was a real challenge....he said that they way it was designed & installed "it wasn't intended to be removed"! He did get the job done though. They replaced the motor & it works fine now.

I chose to replace the step assembly rather than just the motor. Not knowing how old the steps were this seemed to be the prudent choice.

Shade Pro said they had my pattern for my '09 Camelot so I ordered one but it was not the correct pattern, it was for a prior year's Camelot. If I can get down to Indio I will try to hook up with their pattern designer. If anyone knows of someone who makes these up in the Junction City, OR area I would like to hear about them as I have plans to be there this summer.

Where is the Manobloc system located in my '09 Camelot? Is it behind the panel in the wet bay?

On my Camelot the ATS, inverter & the EMS-HW-50C are mounted on the ceiling in the passenger side 2nd storage bay. I would have to relocate my wine storage box if I were to modify the closet box....LOL! I think I will take a look at this next month when we are on the central CA coast in Pismo Beach. The weather is more favorable to be working outside there than it is here in the central valley.

Were you able to access that space through the closet wall somehow? I haven't looked closely in my closet to see if there is an access door but the power line reel must somehow be accessible there.

I have used my Hughes Autoformer for years & found it to be of great help in parks where the voltage drops below a minimum for my Progressive EMS. Years ago while parked next to friends in Portland, Maine who had one...their AC's were running normally while my EMS had shut off the power to our coach. In places with high temp's & high humidity I found the autoformer to be a necessity. I would like to have it installed in the coach but I have yet to do this. I would like to have it set up so that I could bypass it if it should take a power hit knocking it out of commission. This is on my list of things to do in the near future.

Jeff, are you inquiring about the latest Soft Start that plugs into the pedestal between your shoreline cord? I think Martin & Chris are talking about the first 2 Soft Start devices that are hardwired into each AC unit.

Thanks for sharing this post....I had talked to Lippert & they gave me the updated Lippert 156844 part number. This includes the valve block assembly. It makes sense to update this also I think.

The motor would not turn using the interior switch & manually turning the motor with my electric drill/driver did nothing. The valve block is good...I am using it on the "new" motor/pump. Being that the coach is going on 14 years old I thought that the best choice would be to update both the motor & the pump.

A few weeks ago my '09 Camelot's slide motor-pump failed while on the road.  With a new replacement 8+ days away I chose to have a 'used' one installed that is working good. But, being that it is used I think I should buy a new one to have on hand should this used one go south on me. Lippert tells me the current direct replacement is the Lippert 156844. Should I order one from them or is there a better, more reasonably priced source that I should call? Looking online I see that RVupgrades.com offers one at a slightly lower cost.

Thanks Harry, I was in a shop in Pismo Beach last week & they said that the black tank vent is on the starboard side. That's the right side for those who are not Navy Vet's....LOL!!  I noticed that the black tank dump valve was seeping at the slide shaft intermittently so I changed both dump valves. So far we haven't noticed any odors. But, I will not say right away that the problem is solved yet.  We  bought this coach 2 years ago & were in it over 200 nights last year & are on track for close to 200 this year so I am confident that the P-traps are good.  We use our stacked washer-dryer regularly. I have read good things abut Happy Camper but I learned that it is not for sale here in CA anymore. I have had good luck with TankTech'sRX for many years.

I recently replaced the Iota transfer switch in the '09 Monaco Camelot we bought 2 years ago. I had read about the fire issues so I had it replaced. The service manager at our local shop questioned me on why I wanted to replace it. I explained to him the issues but apparently he was not up to date on these transfer switches. After inspecting it though he noted some burn spots on the connections. I replaced the Iota with a Surge Guard 41260.

I had those vents also so I have been working through my list of possible issues. I still have one on the drivers side of the coach which I believe is for the grey tank. I have had this coach for over 2 years but only recently began having an odor issue. I began by replacing the toilet ball & seals, deep cleaning the tank & replacing the air admittance valve under the sink. Installing the cyclone vent on the black tank vent seemed to make sense to see if that might help. Time will tell....stand by for news!  LOL!

I was in a shop getting my broken exterior door latch replaced so I had them install the cyclone vent that I had bought a few months ago so I will see how this works out. I spoke with the senior tech who confirmed that the vent on the starboard side was the black tank vent . For years I have used TankTech'sRx treatment in the black tank with good results. They also recommend that you not completely drain the tank so as to keep a little residual protection in the tank. I occasionally use a little in the grey tank also.  I had recently replaced the toilet seals & the air admittance valve under the sink as part of my periodic maintenance but the odor issue persisted. So now it's time to see if the new vent is beneficial.....it wasn't very expensive so it can't hurt. I think I'll dump a little more often than the weekly sked I was using to see if that helps also.
