  1. I replaced curtains in our coach.  I ordered two 45 x 96 panels from amazon for about $25.  The track ours hung on had a small hook.  The original curtains had a woven strip on the top with loops that went over the hooks.  I bought very small binder clips and attached them to the long side of the curtain panels and out the “handles”of the binder clip over the hook. It worked great, looked great and cost about $30.

  2. Friday we accidentally poked a hole in the radiator on our 2002 Knight.  We have a trip planned and finding a new radiator is problematic.  We were able to remove the radiator out the back and a family member who owns a welding shop was able to weld the very small hole shut.  We were able to reinstall everything thru the back without even going inside the motor home.  Just did a 20 mile test run.  No leaking!!!

  3. First off.  I love my Splendide vented combo washer/dryer.  I call it my miracle machine.  But last night as we lay in bed,it awakenned me sounding funny.  Water was draining out the door and the water was to the top of the window as the dryer tried to tumble the clothes dry.  The washer would not pump out.  It apparently filled to wash, filled to rinse and was unable to pump any water out.  There was a puddle in front of washer as well as in the corner of the bedroom.    I stopped it and turned off water pump so no more water could be pumped in.  We tried to figure out what our next move would be.  Open the door and spill gallons of water, continue to let it dribble and sop it up with towels all night long?  I am sharing the solution to the dilemma so maybe it will help someone else.  We threaded our air hose down the drain and siphoned the wash water into the shower.  I have a brilliant Magiver Man!  He gets major kudos for quick thinking at midnight!  After this trip, we will have to figure out what failed and repair, but I was sure glad not to have to open that door!!!!

  4. We have a 2002 Knight,  we have not found the overflow for the fresh water tank.  It seems that the tank must be full, but the water just keeps going in without coming out anywhere on the ground or on the inside.  Can you guys help us out?  This is a new motorhome to us and we sure love it.  Thanks all.

  5. the replacement unit in our norcold was made by Artic Cold.  They are now out of business.  I am not sure when they ceased operations or how old our replacement is.  And while I am not debating on whether or not to put a residential unit in, if we can repair the one we have and it appears that we have, the most economical thing is to keep it.   I was concerned about installing a residential unit in a slide when it appeared that our fridge was dead.  With all of our “fussing” it is now maintaining.36 degrees in fridge on 5 and below zero in Freezer.  So it appears to be resurrected.  We will see when hot weather arrives.  I don’t know what the difference between an Amish unit and JC unit is or if they are the same.  Thanks again all.

  6. I did not mean to open a can of worms. I was looking for information especially in relation to replacing a unit in a slide.   Our Norcold has been updated with the article cold replacement unit, so no worries about the original Norcold catching fire.  We disassembled,  added new mastic,  added foam insulation around edge around the edge, and reassembled.  Freezer was cold, but fridge wasn’t.  So the last thing we did was smack coils with a hammer.  As I write this, the fridge is 38on 4 and freezer is 0.  So hopefully it’s fixed.  Peace and love to all.  Cathy

  7. we have been fussing with our Norcold 4 door fridge.  It has the Article cold replacement electric/LLP unit.  The refrigerator does not get cold.  We have taken fridge out, disassembled, replaced mastic, and insulated.  Freezer stays cold but not fridge.  It is installed in a slide.  The fridge interior, and exterior is in good shape. Question is do we switch to residential, replace cooling unit again?  How does the fact that it is in a slide complicate the issue?  We have a 2002 Knight.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!
